NEW PERK: Ready To Go

image.png

READY TO GO:
(A part that plays into an age long concept in dbd)
- Whenever you repair a generator to 98% progress, it can no longer regress or be blocked.
- If the killer kicks the generator, it becomes completed instead and confetti pops out.

You've all heard it before. 99'ing a gen. People very infrequently do it, as the downsides of it regressing back to 0 often makes it not worth the strategic advantage.

So what exactly is the advantage of this perk? For some of you may know, occasionally, good players will avoid finishing a gen if there are 2 generators that need to be completed and they don't want the other to be interrupted, so they wait for the killer to come to their higher progress gen instead and then pop it in front of their face to waste their time.
It can also be used as a great tool to avoid letting the killer know that they have a 3 gen waiting for them, when there are still 4 gens, and you're doing the only one far away.

A cool perk overall to breathe life into this age old dbd concept, but to make it a real mechanic and not a realistic gamethrow! With the downsides obviously being that you'll have to spend a little extra time to go back to those gens to then pop them if the killer hasn't already themselves! 😉

  • Tbh too weak to be a serious perk. Also the requirement of needing the killer to kick the gen is just the final nail in the coffin for this perk concept. It's at best a meme tier on par with blast mine.

    Very meme tier indeed, and definitely iconic, and will likely be used for many clips. Though it might be stronger than you realize. If the killer is running full gen-slowdown and no aura, they might not be able to know which gens to defend or navigate too, wasting the killer's time, and therefore winning time for the survivors. The end game is so strong for the killer exactly because they know exactly where to go. When they aren't aware until they check, all that time is in the favour of survivors.

    But… full gen-slowdown means that they are going to be running stuff like turn back the clock or pain res. Which means it bypasses this perk entirely.

    It won't. As stated, the generator can no longer receive regression nor blocks. So it's discounted from effects like Pain Res.

    Hence the name;
    It's Ready To Go 🤗
