M1 vs M2 killer power creep/possible solutions
its no secret - killers w/ the ability to damage via a non M1 attack 99/100 outclass ANY M1 killer, and its not that's because M1 killers are inherently bad. It's because M2 killers can bypass the biggest weaknesses M1 killers are forced to deal with. M1 killers have to physically reach survivors and hit them, meaning pallets, windows, pre-running, safe tiles, body blocking, endurance, and distance all directly work against them. Meanwhile, M2 killers can often hit over pallets, through windows, punish vaults, close distance, or outright bypass traditional looping. (Examples - Xenomorph, Dracula, jason, huntress, nemesis, etc).
Whether we want to admit it or not - the game is no longer based around killers such as Hag, Trapper, Clown, Doc, Skull Merchant, etc - it is balanced around killers like Billy. I am well aware that this post will almost certainly receive 0.0% attention from any of the devs but there are so many clear ways to help even the playing field to some degree.
For perks- some perks work great for m1 killers but arent that valuable for m2 killers. Perks like brutal strength, save the best for last, Hex: Nothing but misery, rapid brutality, etc. Those afforementioned perks need general buffs b/c they entirely revolve around M1 attacks, which are becoming increasingly harder to acquire. For instance - make Hex:NBM do 10% hinder for 15 secs, Brutal strength 30-40% (not 20), rapid brutality - 10% for 10 secs (or remove the lack of bloodlust), STBFL - either 6% per token or up to 10 tokens, etc
Basekit- perks aside- a lot of killer's basekits are so very weak.
Lets take trapper - he can carry only 2 traps at a time, they are very obvious to anyone who looks remotely at the ground, and he can get stuck in them. He could be made into a high C-tier killer VERY easily if they increased his trap carry count to like 4, and made his grey addon (the one that just disarms a trap he walks over) basekit.
For Hag: the least picked killer in the game - if they made her traps have collision (without the need for the addon that does that) she could EASILY become a low B tier killer, vs being arguably just barely better than trapper in some niches.

Just some examples ofc - it would not be hard to buff the weakest killers in the game- nor would it become problematic if it was done. Anyone who complains about the mere idea of buffing the weakest killers in the game that are incredibly outdated and disadvantaged from the get-go should honestly ask themselves if their issues, with giving the weakest killers a semi-fair chance to compete, are formed of biases or not.
