Jason is disgustingly overpowered still.

He gets value no matter how you play him, his projectile is by far the best and easiest to use in the game with no cooldown, he has far too much map pressure, far too much chase power and he can get value out of damn near every single perk, Hex builds are cancerous on him, regression builds are cancer, chase builds are cancer, and the worst of it is that he has to do NO work for any of the rewards. All of his addons are perks on their own and he is just encouraged to tunnel survivors because of his free mori. Ffs when he's the killer EXTRA pre-broken pallets spawn just so he can teleport even tho theres already an abundance of places for him to teleport. You can't dodge his spear now that people have learned how easy it is to hit and if u do dodge he just wont throw it and catch up to you, on top of getting haste for NO WORK after using his power, i'm so tired of dbd catering to killer players they have literally made a killer that does all the work for you.

I will go next every single time i see jason and it will affect them more than me, killers have the long ahh queue times because no matter what the game is stacked in their favor, you can either a play a killer who actually has skill expression and isn't just uhh me monkey me press button and win, or u play jason and i won't allow you to have fun :)

  • Well sure he is, the only basekit change he's had was a buff to camping.

Going next doesn't punish killers though. I've yet to see a Jason let up when people AFK or DC. They don't care how they win as long as they do. You're just making it easier.

Jason's not overpowered you just dont want to learn how to play against him. You going next just ruins the game for the other survivors i hope your banned for it. Also its not the easiest projectile in the game its quite small just look behind you and dont walk in a straight line. Maybe try playing killer.

Have to disagree, Jason is pretty easy to counter. He's 4.4 killer and get a temp haste that makes him same speed as trapper and other killers.... He has 1 shot with the spike which is relatively easy to dodge. Assuming you can't dodge the spike, he is a basic M1 killer after using it which means he has to drop chase to get another spike or get looped.

Not only that, but he is reliant on pallets and vaults locations. It's surprising how many maps have areas next to gens where Jason can't pop out of power anywhere near them. Rpd for example there is a big dead zone on that map where survivors can pretty much heal and regroup safely because the nearest location to come out of power is either on another floor or it's way down the hall which gives plenty of time to run.

It's just about learning his weaknesses and playing to that. Short loops to lose line of sight so he can't use the spike. Due to many hex Jason's there have been I have been going in with a totem cleansing build, seems to work fine if your patient and wait for the right time.

And fyi killers job is to kill... If you intentionally get killed to go next then the killer will likely be smiling thinking "thank you", not sure the other survivors would be thanking you lol

He doesn't have ''1 shot'' tho bc theres reload stations EVERYWHERE and if he misses he still has his haste which he doesnt need he can grab a spike with 0 downtime he barely loses any speed when aiming and if he does hit you you get pushed into a deadzone, it's nothing to do with strengths and weaknesses when he does TOO MUCH. 'oh well its fair on the off chance you get rpd'' well even then not really bc the entire map is just straight coridoors

and if i don't want to play against more range tp slop i won't lol, they don't get to have the fun of a chase vs me

First of all, me going next can ruin the game for other survivors, the devs ruined the game for survivors by doing everything in their power to lower killer skill ceilings while increasing the value they get. and it quite literally is the easiest projectile in the game. I have 1.3k hours on the game it has nothing ot do wiht ''learning to play against him'' the only counterplay to him is hiding for exhaustion and hoping he has bad aim. there is nothing else u can do u cant commit to gens u cant make distance u cant loop short walls u cant loop long tiles u cant do anything. everyone who disagrees are just killer players who think they are better than what they are because jason does all the work for you

I mean it sort of does, they had to queue for way longer then me and they don't even get the enjoyment of a proper match, a win in my book hell i hate it when survivors dc on me, not that it happens very often because i don't cheese to win but.

All the ppl up in my replies disagreeing are just a fridaythe13th simps when it was a boring ahh movie and jason is nowhere near as cool as he's made out to be. ''Look behind you and dont walk in a straight line'' ''Skill diff'' ''Just adapt'' when the devs have done everything in their power to make it so survivors have 0 agency in any game. DH DS STB OTR MFT SB IW COH damn near every single perk that killers complain about have heavy heavy drawbacks or B got destroyed with nerfs into the ground bc killers couldnt ''adapt'' themselves so now with stronger killers and stronger killer perks youd assume survivors would have a power creep too, but nope.

the game is balanced around SWF which is probably 10% of the players but even then competent killers often get 2k+ vs SWF.
