[Feedback] Change BBQ aura to NOT be blocked by the new bright gens (PS4/XBOX)

BBQ auras should not be blocked by the generators/made a different color, etc. Every survivor whines about "camping", yet with "smart" survivors hiding behind the generators or high ranking people with 3 low rank bodyguards within 12 meters at all times, it kinda make BBQ slightly a joke as the whole point of the perk is to cycle through people to gain points and NOT camp!

Ya know what the best solution that I can offer those survivors that do not like to be tunneled and camped?

DON'T GET CAUGHT! LOL!!! <3

    That is the point... I do NOT see the auras when I hook people. They are either hovering close by a person they are guarding that I hooked, behind a generator or in a locker... Now whom is being a dick? I never asked for instant kills, I am asking for a perk that shows auras to actually show the auras. That is all... LOL! :) Seriously... I guess the devs listen to the 4 times more survivor cryers than a killers reasoning of a perk that no longer works as written with "brighter" gen auras and locker blindness... get it now?

    AND I QUOTE: After hooking a Survivor, all other Survivors' Auras are revealed to you for 4 seconds when they are farther than 40 metres from the Hook.

    All except those hiding in lockers and behind existing bright auras... which means... this perk is "broken as written"... so fix the perk or fix the description. That is all I want. :)

    With other people stating "hiding behind generators is intended"... then fine... fix the description from "ALL" to "everyone except survivors in lockers" which will help those that think people in lockers ARE revealed when they ARE NOT!

    First off, I play both sides. Secondly, the description is right. It shows auras. But lockers new mechanics affect after/over that, and lining up auras to VISUALLY hide it, and not conceal it, are gameplay adaptations for surviving,  not making the game work different internally. That's what everyone is always told, right? Adapt? Survivors did.

    Let's not forget the people that, not hiding in lockers or behind generators, that walk the wrong way and turn around. The aura is revealed, but it doesnt do your job, you still have to find and think. Just as if they hide in lockers. Or behind generators. It's just not as easy to find them if they think and use what's given.

    And yeah, your quote I responded to was in response to another, in a snarky tone, about needing to be clairvoyant instead of relying on bbq. Instead of actually responding with your concerns of the perks use. It was a dick move. 

    If you look at every single perk verbatim, you can find issues if you try. But this one is written, in reference to the games mechanics, perfectly fine. It reveals the aura to you. Then they can choose to TRY to hide behind a generator, or get into a locker without being seen. If it's really an issue, maybe pair it with iron maiden. 

    A way that they wouldnt be able to hide behind generator auras is if the killer just didnt see generator auras. Then youd be able to guarantee they didnt hide behind them.

    Tracking wise BBQ's always been a sad sack of crap (outclassed by Bitter murmur and some killer-specific addons), and yet every patch contains multiple nerfs, both direct and indirect, to it. Talk about oblivious devs.

    You can’t use “average killer”. For perks like these, you must ALWAYS keep thevfact that hillbilly exists in mind. Him with bbq on rotten Fields is straight undeniable cancer. Also it does show auras as intended, and gens are meant to block ahead, which is why the gen color changed to a deeper color, to better block auras. Also lockers are solely dedicated to blocking auras, so a random ass perk shouldn’t defeat that entire purpose. Same goes for distortion.

    So instead of using an average killer on all maps, you want my baseline to be a single killer on a single map? Great way to balance perks! Awesome suggestion! No wonder you are so giving with your opinions! They are fantastic way to balance a game!

    To me BBQ is an optional tool for killers to use if they want to use it.
    I think the survivors aura shouldn't be the same color as generators.

    Make survivors have golden auras so they stand out but if they arw hiding behind a gen then let the gens aura block off the golden survivor aura. 

    It's had a big nerf, let the perk do what it's meant for.

    What point is that? That the Devs were unable to support the original design and "reworked" it? Does that prove your point that Billy is OP? I think not... what it does prove is that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about:

    Tinkerer required an immense workload of additional coding each time new Add-ons were created, since the Developers had to work with a static buff and keep mind that Add-ons without it shouldn't be too weak and those with it shouldn't be too strong. They compared that workload to having to create an additional set of Unique Perks for the Killer, something they were no longer willing to do and thus intended for Tinkerer to be reworked eventually, which happened with Patch 2.1.0.

    Why would the devs purposely undo the changes they made to make it possible to hide behind a generator?

    Ah yes, the classic "BBQ gives me a reason not to camp and tunnel, therefore it should have little to no counterplay" proposition. Nope.

    You're a real piece of work. 

    You want Survivors to always show up when BBQ procs, then you tell them not to get caught. How do you expect us not to get caught? Of course, we HIDE before you hook someone. DUH.

    Classic case of wanting your cake and eating it too.  Stop contradicting yourself and wanting it both ways. 

    Also, Gens *ALREADY* blocked Survivor Auras before 2.5. You could hide behind gens, apparently it took you this long to notice.

    @Jack11803 The devs won't be back pedaling from anything they did to BBQ. Hiding behind a gen has been a way of hiding from bbq foe a while.

    Yeah, because they wanted to make it that way. It used to kinda hide your aura, then they changed gen aura to blood red

    Yup. I think it really helps divide brainless crutch killers from good ones. It allows some to weigh their options, or for bad killers to do nothing and lose because an aura wasn’t spoon fed every hook

    Hey you know this OP mandatory perk that literally every Killer runs? Let's remove all of its counters! It's too weak otherwise!
    This is why the should've kept the "LOL" reaction.

    Really sorry that your crutch tracking perk can now be played around but here's an idea: maybe don't rely on a crutch to find Survivors and learn to find them without perks? Because some day you won't have BBQ & Crutches to find Survivors for you.
