2v8 feedback
Fun for 2 players, mediocre/bad for 8
- No protection against getting double tapped
- 2v1 chases make survivor skill not matter
- Nurse and huntress were buffed way too hard and benefit too much from the copious amount of aura reading this mode gives to killers
- Insta-cageing prevents altruism plays and makes killers snowball extremely hard as they do not have to spend any time doing it
- Class system limits individuality and makes the game very stale and repetitive. If perks are not going to make it to the mode, allow players to mix and match class skills as they want (so for example medic healing boost + scout aura reading)
- There is no reason to lock one of four survivor skills behind being on death-cage
- Medic and guide are severely underpowered. Medic at least does its job at being the healer class, so a simple numbers buff would do, but guide only gets a bonus to its primary purpose (doing gens) in a very RNG dependent way (hitting great skill checks). Given that guide apparently wants multiple survivors to do one gen, it should have prove thyself, but no, it instead has half of technician (completely useless) + half of better together (completely useless without prove thyself) + visionary (completely useless). Like no wonder everyone wants to be escapist or scout. At least they do the job they were designed to do.
- Soloq killer can see the aura of their teammate at all times, allowing for potential team plays, but soloq survivors once again have to guesstimate where their teammates are (unless they use medic, but even then it's only injured teammates)
Honestly, it's not surprising everyone wants to play killer. The mode offers nothing of interest for survivors. Whether you're playing with 3, 7 or 999 other survivors, the gameplay is the same. If the aim is to reduce killer queues, survivors need a REAL incentive to play this mode and bp aren't going to do that. There needs to be something novel. The novelty for killer is coop, but there is nothing for survivors, except the class system which, as stated above, just forces you into a role and makes the game even more stale and repetitive than usual.

You explained my thoughts perfectly. This mode is just completely uninteresting as survivor for me. Chasing is the funnest part of DbD and you can't do that properly when you're getting two tapped. The only way you stand a chance is if the killers aren't chasing together, and in that case, I'm not sure what the actual point of the mode is? I might as well just play normal DbD and be free to pick the perks I want.
You make some good points (especially about the medic class and the self heal skill).
Personally, I think the medic class should also get boosted self-healing abilities (like self-care + botany speeds). As it stands, this class benefits only the team and not so much the player running it. Boosting the healing speeds of others is helpful, but not everyone will stick around to heal you up, anyway.
I rarely see medics in my games, so I think something needs to be done to make the class a bit more appealing.
i just dont understand why they didn't just make the normal game mode but with double the players. They didn't need to complicate things making new abilities to survivors and killers and limiting the number of killers... They had it so easy, and yet they made it complicated and clunky.
As killer i can't say much, I literlaly conly played enough matches to complete the killer chsllenges because sitting for 15-20 minutes waiting in queue is ridiculous. And as survivor there's no reason to play. The 400% bonus is not worth it. Solo Q is worse having double the number of useless teammates that hide in a corner waiting for hatch...
