The Frustration of "Slugging" in Dead by Daylight: Is Anything Being Done?
It's frustrating to see how the "slugging" mechanic in Dead by Daylight affects the gameplay experience. At the end of matches, when only two survivors are left, it's common for the killer to knock one down and leave the other on the ground to secure all four kills. While one survivor hides in a locker, trying to avoid being found, the other lies on the ground with nothing to do but wait for a slow death.
This not only takes the fun out of the game but also creates a situation where the downed survivor is completely powerless. Is anything being done to address this issue? We need a mechanic that allows survivors to get up on their own after a while, so they can continue playing and trying to escape. The community would love to see some changes to make the game fairer and more balanced.

I don't think slugging in and of itself is problematic, it's a long-held game mechanic and a risk under normal circumstances, but the process of leaving survivors on the ground to secure a 4k is annoying and a very unfortunate incentive for the game to create. It takes a game where survivors have already lost and traps them in for several minutes instead of letting them exit the game naturally and move onto next.
Adding anti-slugging mechanics that allow the survivor to pick themselves up would have far greater ramifications on gameplay itself, especially killers for whom slugging is a consequence of how their power works (Plague, Oni, Twins.) And given that this scenario is one where the game is already over and you've been caught and downed, I think what's needed here is the ability to surrender and either force bleed out (survivor favored) or replace yourself with a bot (killer favored.) I don't particularly care which happens so long as I don't get left on the floor for four minutes every time the killer wants a 4k.
The worst part is that it doesn’t always happen when the killer is aiming for the 4k. It also happens when they simply down all the surviving players and leave them on the ground just for the sake of it, as part of their twisted fun. I can imagine how frustrating it must be for four players to want to quit because of a toxic player who doesn’t know how to have fun properly.
There isn't anything wrong with slugging. It's fine.
"frustrating" is never a good reason to remove valid mechanics, being stunned is frustrating, seeing a gen done is frustrating, light save pallet save boil over all that is frustrating, not like they deserves to be removed
From the game balance and mechanics standpoint, slugging is never a problem, there is no point in "fixing" non issue and giving free buff for survivors for absolutely no reason
Like bruh, if being "powerless" and "not being able to play the game" is a problem, you must remove hooks
