How to fix tunneling

Trow away kill/escape MMR objectives. Bring back Emblem system (with some changes) as your matchmaking power. Make the game around HOOKS and not kills.

Introduce heavy anti-tunnel/anti-camp feature (disabled at end game prob), don't rely on characters perks for $$$ to bandait fix core issues.

Give Killers some passive way to slowdown a bit objectives when you getting unique hooks, etc.

It's the only way. If you just punish killers and nerf without giving them reason and reward going for multi hooks, they will never stop tunneling.

Don't buff DS, buff base kit anti tunnel and reward killers for hooks. Give better counter IU on hook stages, not just small cyrcle bar HUD that you have to count in your head on top to follow.

  • Even just rewarding hook spreading more would help alleviate the issue a little. Something has to be done because anti-tunnel perks can only do so much against killers that know how to counter them.

  • I am seeing sometimes people are writing balance game around hooks but nobody is telling how.

The only thing comes to my mind: game will reward you for hooking survivors with some slowdown. Some base-kit regression. That will work only if you hook different survivors ofcourse.

But problem is: what will stop me to don't do soft tunnelling? What i mean? Instead of one survivor, keep hook 2 survivors. A, B, C and D are survivors in your game. Instead of A, focus on A & B and keep hook them. And with this way, i will get slowdown from hooks and playing around tunnelling as well.

I really don't know how we can balance game around hooks without breaking the game.

  • Bro, I just made a post nearby. You won't teach people with only incentives.

There is new "killer-easy-win" mode today, and abusing of camping and tunneling is off the charts.

I wonder if there will be button in setting "press F to kill all survivors", it would be used almost everytime.
