Hillbilly, Sadako and the concerns for a potential Freddy change
So, the January 2024 Developer Update has dropped today, and with it came changes to Hillbilly and Sadako which were not included on the PTB.
And long story short? While Hillbilly was done extremely right, Sadako was done extremely wrong.
Even before the PTB was available I was already pretty happy with the direction they wanted to go with Sadako. You can read more about that here, if you want to:

Whoever Mike is, he has the answer to Freddy. That is exactly, precisely what should happen. It is what I did with my own concept, and it is what I hope BHVR will do with him.
If restoring Sadako's old kit with improvements is possible, then why not do the same with Freddy?
There is a golden opportunity here, devs. Take it.

And the PTB gave me a lot of hope, because reverting a killer back to their old power while improving it in important aspects is EXACTLY what should be done to Freddy. It is even what I, and several other players, have suggested for him.
But for some reason Sadako is getting nerfed, even when her mains were pretty happy with her state during the PTB. And I don't understand why this happened, especially when there were several pieces of feedback available, none of which demanding a nerf.
This wasn't supposed to happen. Both Hillbilly mains and Onryo mains were happy and things should have stayed that way.
However, the topic of this thread is that Freddy is set for a change, probably around the later half of this year. And if the Sadako's nerf doesn't get reverted before the update drops I'll be concerned for Freddy.
When Freddy's turn comes, look at Sadako when making the change. But look at Hillbilly when sending it to live.

no. just can see how locking someone at 5 or 6 condemn isn't particularly fun.
buff the rest if necessary.
If a survivor is racking up five or six stacks of condemn, that's entirely their own fault.
its not that this is an unhealthy change, but it wasnt brought with any buffs with her TV uptime. By getting rid of the ability to teleport spam, she's left with a lot of other problems, one being that if you are out of TVs, you have zero map pressure. I'm just upset that they didnt make the tv downtime shorter to compensate.

It is. If you ignore the ability, you get punished.
Its not hard. Tapes have almost no risk to them. If the survivor gets downed with 5 or more stacks by a m1 killer, im sorry but its their fault. The killer is not to blame for everything and should not be punished by endless nerfs. This version is partially worse than her original version.
i want to believe. Bhvr bring old Freddy back with some changes.
