Please, Change These Perks, They Need It
The following perks are either considered joke perks or are actually going to be joke perks upon the next major update. My changes would at least put these up to par with other Perks or give them effects that can be completely doable within the next few updates.
Distressing
- Your Terror Radius is increased by 25% and Bloodlust is permanently deactivated for the entire Trial, but you benefit from the following effects:
- Base movement speed is increased by 3%/4%/5%.
- Successful attack recovery speed is increased by 10%/15%/20%.
- Vaulting speed is increased by 10%/15%/20%.
- The amount of Bloodpoints earned in all Score Events are increased by 50%.
Distressing is practically a meme perk at this point aside from a few niche builds with certain characters. However, the effects above would certainly allow it to see some usage and perhaps increase the amount of fun and interesting chases that Killers can have as well.
No Mither
- You suffer from the Broken status effect for the entire Trial, but benefit from the following effects:
- Pools of Blood and Grunts of Pain are suppressed.
- Self-Unhooking has an increased 50%/75%/100% chance to succeed.
- Recovery Speed is increased by 30%/40%/50%.
- Self-Pickup Time is reduced by 30%/40%/50%.
- Once the Exit Gates are powered, you fully recover to full health no matter which state you are in, and will no longer be afflicted with the Broken status effect.
- The amount of Bloodpoints earned in all Score Events are increased by 50%.
Since the self-pickup ability is being introduced as part of the base kit, and all Perks allowing for self-pickups are being altered to no longer have that ability, No Mither would otherwise be one of the worst Perks in the game to run due to it having mainly massive drawbacks with no real benefit.
This would change with my version of the Perk, which grants substantial benefits for the fact you're playing on hard mode.
Boon: Exponential
- Survivors inside of the Boon Totem's range benefit from the following effects:
- 90%/95%/100% increased recovery speed.
- 90%/95%/100% reduced duration of negative status effects.
Similar to No Mither, Boon: Exponential is going to have its ability to self-pickup removed. This would be a detriment to the Perk, as even Unbreakable has the ability to increase recovery speed.
So to give it something, it now basically has the effects of Vigil to a much greater degree.
Soul Guard
- After being healed or recovering from the Dying State, Soul Guard grants you the Endurance status effect for 4/6/8 seconds:
- Any damage that would otherwise put you into the Dying State while Soul Guard is active will instead afflict the Deep Wound status effect.
- This effect has a cooldown of 30 seconds.
- Whenever you are affected by the Cursed status effect, Soul Guard allows you to see the associated Hex Totem for 10 seconds. You then benefit from the following effect:
- The associated Hex Totem's aura will be revealed to you within 16 meters.
- The Killer's aura is revealed to you for 5 seconds once you cleanse or bless a Hex Totem.
Again, another Perk affected by the removal of self-pickup to it, this needs a brand new effect and I feel that it being able to be used to detect Hex Perks while Cursed would be really good in allowing players to aid their team in taking down those Totems. An additional benefit to cleansing these totems is the ability to know if your pursuer is coming after you for revenge against those Totems.
Comments
These buffs are so overpowered. Also none of these perks are joke. There are far worse perks.
Distressing is perfectly fine, it's great with literally any Terror Radius effect.
Name a worse perk than a perk that permanently makes you one health state and has its self-pickup ability removed.
Distressing just sounds really good. Too good even.
No Mither is interesting tho.
And I won't comment on the other changes cause (atleast for me) this is just a test, which most likely, won't even come to the game in the way it's currently designed.
I would take your version of distressing every single game on most of the killers I play (nurse excluded). 5% bonus speed alone for not getting bloodlust in itself makes it very good perk (better then NOED considering tradeoff between exposed and working all the time without any hex). The other benefits are plus.
For the other petks - i don't care about them really. Keep them the way they are or apply your buff... I will not use them anyway
Distressing doesn't need a change imo. The rest are interesting though and wouldn't mind seeing. Best case scenario is that they don't bring the finishing moris and basekit unbreakable though
