Can meaningless generator aura colors be removed to make room for more meaningful generator auras
There are some killer generator perks that create an aura color for no real good reason, and they overwrite the more useful generator aura notifications. For example, if you run eruption, discordance is useless, as eruption causes the generator to be yellow for no reason other than "you kicked this", but you already know what gens you kicked anyway. However, if you ran discordance, it's aura color is important...notification you when 2 or more survivors are on the gen. This causes discordance to flat out break and literally do nothing when using perks like eruption or call of brine. Same issue with surveillance. It's very useful information shows the gen white if it's regressing, but if you are running call of brine, which means the gen yellow for no reason, then surveillance...its aura being far more vital and important...to literally have no effect and break. Can we do a pass on removing unnecessary generator auras, or at least prioritize the aura colors of a gen based on what slot the perk is in? For example, if surveillance is in slot one, it's white aura will always trump the color of a 2nd 3rd or 4th slot perk.

Agreed.... I had the same thought process
In general, I agree with you. There are some perks, Eruption mostly, who mark gens but 100% don't need to.
Small point of order, Discordance still gives noise notifications when its conditions are met. So, while Discordance and Eruption do clash, they are still usable together. Surveillance + Eruption though? It's honestly so sad. Surveillance is basically down to just its +8m range on hearing Survivors on gens which is not worth the perk slot. It's too bad really because in theory those two perks should get along fantastically.
Well but.... what if Eruption and Cob makes the aura of the gen become white? And if you have Surveillance + eruption it become white until a new perk trigger like when the gen stop regressing and surveillance kicks in?
The last aura perk that triggered always has precedence in showing the most updated data?
Discordance gives a noise notifications, but you still wouldn't know if someone just missed a skill check or if it's an in danger gen with 2+ people on it. The information provided is malformed.
Frankly, I wish small symbols should show up above gens instead of relying on colors. That way you know exactly what's being triggered without the guesswork.
And their combinations. Like if the gen is affected by both perks (e.g. cob and discordance), make part of the gen yellow and part of the gen... Say violet (where violet could represent all regress-type effects and yellow all marking-type effects).
