Garden of Joy is the Worst Map in the Game
The Garden of Joy is such a horribly designed map that it's the only map where I've decided to go AFK just to wait for the next match every time that it comes up.
The main building is too safe to play around as Survivor, the loop structures are way too unconventional and still confusing sometimes, some loops are easily abusable for Survivors, and the worst part is that the map is just gigantic, which makes pressuring Survivors hard and traveling between generators boring.
Again, I would rather go AFK and wait for next than play on this abomination. It's so unfun.

Agree, since RPD is getting better now, Garden of Joy is my new anti fun map
I mean, I do pretty well as killer on that map usually. You have to anticipate survivors' plays.
My advice is play Garden of Joy the same way you would play Dead Dawg because both maps are fairly similar in how they have an easy to reach really strong central building but are generally weaker outside. So in my opinion the best strategy is focus on patrolling the outside, mostly let the survivors have that main building, and in chases try to zone them out away from it as much as possible.
Garden of Joy has a very bad hitbox on bushes, Bubba / Hillbilly / Huntress / Blight / Oni is struggling with a lousy hitbox on bushes. Then you have safe pallets and connected loop structures, M1 killers really hate that. The main building has god windows, you can just camp and wait for a killer at the windows. When The Artist set up a crow, survivors can just go to another loop. The only killer that doesn't care about everything is The Nurse but it's a challenge to get a kill.
for me it's shelter woods as a survivor, map needs one elevation anywhere, somewhere that map existing is why I don't use balanced landing anymore.
