Damage Cooldown Limit
Killers overall feel very good with the new changes. That being said I want to address an elephant that has been lingering in the room for a long time now.
All killers need to have a "damage cooldown" whenever they hurt a survivor with the exception of Plague, Trickster and the Trapper's Beartraps (and LF using his chainsaw). Every killer not on this list should go thorugh the "recovery" animation when they damage a survivor.
Huntress for example is very overtuned when you can be 5 feet from a survivor and hit them with a hatchet and hit them again literally 2 seconds later. The Huntress main CoconutRTS said huntress would still be a strong killer with this change.
Is it good for balance that a killer can damage three or four survivors in a 10-12 second period without using a chainsaw? No it really isn't.
The nurse and Blight need this change too. They should score a hit, wipe their weapon and then do their power animation. Both of these killers move so fast that it can be oppressive.
Nemesis already has a tentacle cooldown animation. It is not as long as a regular punch because he has to hit a survivor three times. In what world is it ok for Huntress, Blight and Nurse to be able to damage survivors like the "machine gun" build of old (2016 reference with the second iteration of unrelenting and STBFL).
I suggest that we change the game so that anyone wanting a quick recovery needs to use STBFL. Make Huntress , Blight and Nurse no longer skip the damage animation. If we are being honest these are the three killers that immediately come to mind as troublemakers.
Comments
Okay. A couple things.
1. Nurse and Blight both fatigue after a power hit. Blight for 3 seconds (unchanged in patch), and Nurse for 3 ~ 4 seconds (depending on number of blinks used) AND THEN recharge her blinks when she's slower than survivors. Both of which are longer than the default weapon wipe (2.7 seconds)
"Is it good for balance that a killer can damage three or four survivors in a 10-12 second period without using a chainsaw? No it really isn't"
2) Unless the killer is Legion, that should not even be physically possible. If that happened, the team as a whole has screwed up.

3) I hate Huntress but I'm defending her here. You eat a 2 second cooldown (without add-ons, granted] and then AT MINIMUM a 1.5 second windup, but realistically a 3 second one to fully charge your hatchet. That's 3.5 - 5 seconds to run away and/or dodge.
If you mean melee hatchets, then you let a 4.4 killer get within melee range. You screwed up. Period.
Sometimes I'm glad the devs ignore certain ideas from the community.
this
this too
Nurse and Blight move so fast that the extra cooldown time would make them "about the same" as a regular move speed killer's cooldown.
Go watch CoconutRTS play huntress. He will often hit 3 people in a 10 second time period (if you count the time starting at the first hit). Sorry but that can't be fun to play against. And by his own admission he could play huntress with that change.
nurse and blight need nerfs, that is out of the question
again, if that happens, the team messed up.
it is very hard for huntress to do that + she literally just cant do it if survivors dont mess up
not an issue
No it's more of a the player is very skilled and has a full aura reading build.
Huntress Blight and Nurse would be more fair with these changes.
blight is OP because his add-ons are way too good + he s a 115% killer
nurse is broken because her add-ons are way too good + she just ignores everything + she abuses certain perks in a way that should not be legal
huntress is not OP
if huntress hits 3 people within 10 seconds, it is the survivor's fault; there is plenty of cover and counterplay
if huntress uses a melee hatchet into a normal attack, it is the survivors' fault to let a 110% killer get close enough for that
huntress is nearly completely perfectly balanced, only thing that might need changing is iri head but i dont even know if it really needs a change
Watch? I've played *against* Coconut.
