Desperate measures feels really underwhelming

Currently desperate measures is better than botany only if 3+ survivors are injured, after botany buff, desperate measure will be better only if 4 survivors are injured, and it will be only 6% better.

Yes, DM gives unhook speed, but botany gives medkit efficiency and imo, this is way better.

Soo what even the reason to use DM over botany?

  • Honestly I'm fine with its healing numbers, but I think it should just give a flat, and significant unhook speed bonus.

So the healing speed is affected by how many people are injured, but the unhooking speed is always active.

  • Because Desperate Measures always was underwhelming. Even before the Botany-Buff it is not really worth picking, if you can have Botany instead.

Its a really strange perk. Maybe it could also give an escalating speed buff to gen repair speed depending on how many survivors are actually out of the game? I know that gen repair speeds are a sensitive number and that we are right in the process of tweaking them for the first time, but it feels appropriate for a perk like this?

  • Great point I hadn’t thought of, though Botany was always more consistent before its upcoming buff too. It definitely needs some change to set it above Botany in the right situation.

Right now it’s basically just an optional extra minimal healing speed boost on top of Botany. Although it may have a better place in the basekit BT era too, since BT will no longer be mandatory for safe unhooks.
