Huntress add-on gen defense idea

If huntress hits a gen with a hatchet it explodes for 10% and starts regressing. But she can't blow the up gen again until a survivor touches it. And it has a cool down that the first throw is 10% and if she hits another one quickly it's 5% with a 15-20 second cooldown. It would be an ultra rare add on like legions one where gens not being worked on regress.

Just an idea I had for a potential add on to help her with map pressure as she's a slow killer. It would help her defend a gen from afar while she's en route to get survivors who aren't scared of her away. If the gen blows up with the survivor on it they are incapacitated for 10 seconds.

What do you guys think? I it would be cool since ghostface has a gen defence ultra rare and legion.

  • buff iri head and make it an AOE splash damage hatchet that one shots anyone in the vicinity

  • Or, hear me out, Jolt works on all attacks, not just basic attacks, and now it works when downing someone with a Hatchet. The bonus to Huntress is it affects gens within the radius of the survivor who just got hit.

Balance team sent into a rage from this sensible suggestion

  • Didn't Almo say the down by any means would include the trapper addon that downs you when selfrescuing?

I understand why devs don't want that thing since having gens explode 32m within you because someone ignored to mend, got hatchet sniped or that addon worked doesn't make sense but it would atleast make it usable on more than M1's.

I don't know if that's a good reason to have Jolt not work on all downs honestly. Those situations are very niche, not to mention a survivor not mending is their fault entirely, and Trapper isn't particularly strong to begin with.

Jolt works 32m around the killer.

They'd have to change the code to make it work 32m around the survivor and i'm sure that they're not gonna rework a perk to work on downs by any means and 32m of where the down happens.

Not "downs by any means" downs by basic or special attacks. This would not include failing to mend deepwound, and you could easily exclude traps and zombies.

It's absolutely nuts that the killer whose perk this is can't even use it themselves. It's nuts that it doesn't trigger from tentacle hits, blight rush, chainsaw, etc.
