So when is the Nurse Rework for Addons going to happen?

Most of her addons do more harm than good to help her base kit. I feel that she could use some real love to her addons like what they have done to Legion and Ghostface.

SWFs does just fine against fully stacked addon nurse anyway though, what is your problem?

If you gonna think about best of best nurse, opponent should be also best of best SWFs.

If this is the hypothetical best nurse then the survivor is going down in like 20 seconds max since they can hit every blink. Sure SWF can power through gens but I’d say nurse has a pretty great chance there especially with perks like DH, ruin and starstruck.

Sure best of the best survivors can pump out gens ridiculously fast but they have no options in chase besides holding W until they die (which against range add ons especially is pretty useless).

Except that Nurse doesn't exist. However it has been shown many times the teams beating even the best Nurse exists.

Any evidence for that? Most tourneys I see have the nurse end with a 2k and that’s without these add ons. Sure you could say survivors have handicaps too but besides DH nurse doesn’t give a ######### about the meta

tournaments with complete zero restrictions have led to the nurse getting a negative killrate average

    As SuzuKR said.

Not even the best Nurse can win easily against a good team, especially not without addons. As for a bad match (say, a good Nurse against beginners), it would still take more than "20 seconds", unless they are really really bad and run to the Nurse or DC. But we aren't seriously considering that, are we?

Since it would be foolish to consider games of players with different skill level, we can consider relatively similar level.

A low skill Nurse will most likely lose.

An average Nurse may win or lose depending how much the opponents know the killer's weaknesses (plural). As a survivor I'm in that category and I don't fear Nurses.

An high skill Nurse will be in trouble in all big maps unless she has range add-ons to help a bit (given how slow she is) and will most likely lose to both gen speed and unpredictable survivors. Nurse is very easy to read after all, she literally screams and shows her action with her left hand.

(And god Nurses do not exist, legend, survivorship bias variant, ... I'm fed up explaining that one).

Afaik nurse without add ons is essentially 115% when taking blinks into account. Big maps don’t hurt her as much however due to how she ignores pallets and buildings (especially with 2 floors)

In average lobbies nurse can exploit the 1 or more people who don’t understand her little counterplay much and then proceed to tunnel them easily (DS and BT are negligible to her). Not to mention how basically any solo group will be destroyed if the nurse slugs

A good nurse won’t have much issue with “unpredictable” survivors especially on more open maps like eyrie, blood lodge, ormond etc. She has 2 (potentially 3) blinks so you can use the first to get close and the second to course correct for the hit. Only issue is DH but even I know that perk is busted and needs a nerf just like these add ons

Also if god nurses don’t exist then by your logic god SWF’s don’t exist either correct?

Tbf that’s very close to a 2k when both sides are using busted perks/items. I want both sides nerfed here but the discussion is on nurse add ons. For example if DH was nerfed (4 we’re used in most matches) that kill rate would be much higher

God players perform evenly against other god players. It’s not exactly reasonable to blame balance when matchmaking puts a way better player(s) against worse player(s). Also, there are several maps good and bad for Nurse, just like any other killer really. Lack of LOS blockers does not mean the blinks can’t be mindgamed.

The point is it’s not that busted when you put best of everything against best of everything, like how you said a god Nurse will end every chase 20s max. That said, I agree with you. Both distance addons (and 3 blink), and Dead Hard and multiple other stuff becomes silly stupid at that level of play. However, like you said, Nurse averages out to 115% only in terms of direct movement across a map overall (charge + blink + fatigue + recharge versus walking), and other stuff also needs to be addressed, like the size of giant maps.

I don't know what is the speed of a Nurse that blinks in a straight line. However this wouldn't make sense as it's bound to give he a cooldown at the worst time. Without recharge addons, it seems a very foolish thing to do, or a beginner's. At most one blink and even then ...

For a Nurse to exploit that, you must presume good nurse vs beginners. She has more than "little" counterplay however. Just not looping mindlessly in plain sight. Solo groups only have an issue if there are weak players mixed with good one. I should know : I play solo. And on my last few solo games against a Nurse, she got at most 1k. (But nobody on my team was silly. Again I'm pretty average as survivor. I know what good survivors are and I'm not it, nor was my team.)

I guess someone has to tell Supaalf or Rayoxium they aren't good Nurses. Unpredictable survivors are hard to get, avoid dead zones (we are talking about good survivors, right?) and very punishing. Without add ons, it's very hard to get a team of these. Three blinks isn't exactly addon-less and not exactly the standard Nurse game. First, it's a rare addon, second it's pretty useless : you play with 2 blinks most of the time and only use the 3rd one in the rare cases it can help fixing 2 bad blinks. Once, twice per match. Mostly useless. (If you do it carelessly though, you are punished even more than with two blinks.) DH isn't really an issue IMHO. It's so common it's expected.

No, this is not an equivalence, I'll have to think a bit. For the explanation about god Nurse, just search for "survivorship bias", I'm pretty sure the explanation is in one of the first hits with my name.

There is no need for a "god" SWF. A simple death-squad or a SWAT is hard enough. Once a player has passed, say, 4k hours, he is bound to know all moves and techs. Whereas even a 5k hours Nurse will make punishing mistakes for many reasons. However I'm matched against maybe 3 to 4 teams that could deserve that label per year so I don't really mind them. Usually the teams that tend to beat me are way less skilled : doing gens efficiently in parallel, not caring too much about the one hook guy and hiding at the right time is often enough to finish the game in about 5 minutes and get a 3 or 4 men escape, depending on many factors. (I generally don't do regression : I'm chase oriented) The map is usually the deciding factor though.

You are simply telling lies, because survivors are dealing with range addon nurse just fine.

The truth is she is fine, whether you like it or not is entirely different matter but if both side is equally skilled the odds are equal even with best possible loadout she can bring.

Every ######### data is telling that the game is actually balanced when it comes to the case of swf/nurse.

  • She should get completely reworked. She has enjoyed about 6 years of cheat mode, I think it's about time she actually gets balanced instead of the "Well, it's a Nurse, let's move on" you have now 24-7.

  • They should remove the 3rd blink add on nurse should never have more than 2

Feel free to give actual conclusive evidence she consistently overperforms against players of even skill on an even map.

What conclusive evidence do you give whenever you speak all the nonsense you usually do? Even if I did have access to direct data by the developers themselves, you'd interpret it in the most convenient way to reinforce your bias.

"Nurse has a 99% kill rate when used by high mmr players"

    And your example isnt biased?

Ofc high mmr nurses have the best killrate, theyre the top nurse players. Maybe not even 15%. The rest of the nurses suck.

Like most survivors suck and in your words, so much that they not even try and thus inflate kill/notescape rates even more.

Nurse consistently averaging out to 2K when played at a high level against other equally skilled players on even-sided maps (with some fluctuations for survivor/Nurse-favored maps, obviously), both in and out of competitive play settings. Also that BHVR has specifically already addressed the topic in a similar manner, where they acknowledged extremely good players will be matched with worse players so queue times will not take forever.

As with any matchmaking game system, there is always a lower number of extremely good players than the rest, and the odds of enough being on at any one time in the same region for a match is fairly low, and so they will be matched with worse players (which there are more of) so queues don’t take forever. This can be seen in League, Overwatch, so on and so forth. When one side is better than the other, the results will obviously be uneven because of matchmaking, not balance.

Extremely good killer players will get large win streaks on every single killer, extremely good survivors will get large escape streaks. That is because they are just blatantly better than what the matchmaking system can consistently match them with. It’s not because every single killer/survivor is OP. MMR inherently cannot give always-consistent matches (unless queue times take hours) for players of that level, as there aren’t enough.

If Nurse is so obviously overpowered, should be easy to find massive amounts of evidence of her consistently over performing against even skill survivors. I’ll wait.

"Nurse is not fine" is only in your head anyway, every data, statistics and game design telling she is fine.

Btw, SWF has 99.9999% escape rate at high MMR, as you know.
