Not 100% sure but ive heard that hitting all great skillchecks will shave off a whole second off the wriggle timer.
So it can technically be faster to use the skillchecks. But practically it will only help if theres a huuuuge walking distance to the next hook; and even then its really close.
If you hit all the greats on the skillcheck wiggle you get about 1 second worth of wiggle. So overall 16 second wiggle to 15,
If you hit constantly great skill checks, then its over a second faster. If you just hit the normal skill checks, then its slightly faster then spamming A/D

For consistency, bhvr should increase 2nd stage hook speed with each successful skillcheck.
