Flying Killer Power Concept (rough idea, first iteration. - feedback wanted)

Pretty simple concept.

You get (basekit) 3 charges that refresh pretty quickly. However, you're fatigued while they recharge.

you can use a charge to launch yourself 6-12 meters (not sure, would have to test on different maps) into the air. (maybe you'd kind of just teleport upward?)

while in midair, you'd slowly glide back down to the ground with a fair amount of air control. (maybe you'd fall at a tenth the normal speed?)

While in the air, you can use more charges to improve your height or air time (think flappy bird), or you can attack.

Attacking quickly slams you back into the ground and damages any survivor you hit. The slam's at a 45 degree angle and requires good aim. Slams are special attacks for the purpose of triggering perks.

There could be addons to do things like give you stealth for a while after flying, deal debuffs after getting a diving hit, and improve your token regen. An iri would probably make a dive after using all your tokens into an instant down.

This power would probably get pretty hurt by indoor maps, but being able to control your height could still let you get up through drops and such.

So, feedback?

Any addon ideas?

edit: just realized the power would be a bit like this: https://youtu.be/nRF-AN6v_68?t=401

but with a cooldown and a much higher skill floor.

  • I feel like this would be another nurse-esc killer. A flying killer would seem to ignore any defense the survivors would have right?

  • Add-on ideas:

    Iridescent [whatever]

Slamming and hurting no survivors causes all pallets within a [range]m range to be dropped. Any dropped pallets are broken.

    Meme add-on

Slamming no longer damages survivors. Gain bonus bloodpoints

Also, all I could think about when you mentioned the slam is Azaan from Paladins

I think that if the attack was at a 45 degree angle, it'd be more possible to juke.

How would that be for implementing some more counterplay?

It could work. And it could be interesting to try and play around honestly a ptb would need to done to confirm

  • How would indoor maps work?

The little launch wouldn't be very high, so you wouldn't be bumping your head into everything.

you'd still be able to angle the dive to get attacks and ambushes from above.

oh, maybe it could be a teleport instead of a a flap?

that way, you'd teleport through the ceiling and dive through the floor? you'd lose all visibility and it'd be a bit like an arial "punishment" attack (from PH)

  • I find that it would be very interesting and finally a unique killer concept that isn't just stuck on the ground and has some good counterplay because people can just look up.
