Perk Idea - Hex: Ruin but for Exit Gates

Simple and straightforward endgame perk idea - a Hex that would spawn when the gates are powered (like NOED) that slowly passively regresses gate progress, preventing exit gates from being 99'ed. I wouldn't imagine it regress insanely fast.

I think a perk like this could be used to assist the killer's dilemma of with dealing with a situation where survivors 99 a gate before unhooking someone after the gens are finished to prevent blood warden or the endgame timer from beginning, then taking back-to-back body blocks and protection hits across the map. Yet it's not uncounterable as it would cleanse with a hex.

I think this effect could possibly also be integrated well as an additional effect to an existing endgame perk, such as spawning a hex with this effect when No Way Out blocks the doors.

Comments

  • If that were its only effect, that would be a wasted perk slot.

  • Probably with additional time to open the gate.

  • This would be better if it was base kit making it a perk would make it a problem cause it’s yet another band aid fix

  • 1- making that a hex is a stupid idea, as soon as the survivor lets go and sees the gate regress, and the curse notification, they'll just hop back on it and finish opening it (and making it a perk that does only that is underwhelming)

2- as chilli_man said, they should just make gate regression basekit. 1% per second would take over a minute and a half for a gate to fully regress back to 0.

3- if they don't make it base kit, then add the regression to pre-existing gate perks like Remember Me or No Way Out
