What is that little room that is glowing reddish orangish with a chest in it? There’s a spinning pyramid pointed up that’s kind of small and has symbols on it. First time I’ve seen it.

    It's a secret room you can unlock by completing the generators in the Music Room and Chemistry Class. It only opens when the endgame collapse starts, though.

    Gotcha. It’s odd that a room with a chest appears when the end game collapse starts. Thanks for the knowledge.

    Actually in the first Silent Hill game, you open that room by completing 2 puzzles, 1 in the chemistry lab, and 1 in the music room. It opens up a secret passageway that leads to the otherworld's version of the school (where all the barbed wire, rust, and caged cadavers are). It was put in as a little homage to the first game.

    The pyramid in that room is the Flauros: In the first game, it was used by Harry Mason (or tricked, rather) to weaken Alessa enough so Dahlia could drag her away to complete a ritual that would birth a god.
