why were the names of the perk of stranger things changed?
I get it they lost the license and bla bla bla, but still, why changing the names of the perks? the description is the same and the names of the characters are still there, so why the names got changed?

The description and names of characters only exists if you have the DLC.
the names of the perks were changed because of legal issues.
Even if you own the DLC, the names have been changed.
names of characters. as in, "Very Rare Nancy Wheeler Perk"- that isn't there if you don't own the character. cmon man
no the names of the perks change too. at least last time I checked they did
yes but nobody is disputing that the names of the ######### perks changed, it's when you load them up and it says "Very Rare [CAHRACTER] Perk" beneath it, like this:
THIS is what stays if you keep it, and if you don't it just says "Very Rare Perk" like any generic perk (ie. Hope)
the names have changed and OP is asking why even when these have stayed if you own the DLC. and i replied it's because of legal issues
how can i make myself clearer
Hmmm.
I wish they would've kept their original plan to keep the names of the perks the same for people who own the DLC.
I don't understand how perk names are legal issues, it's just a pain to learn new names when you knew them for so long
Because in the contract it's very likely the details were something along the lines of "The perks for Steve Harrington will be named Babysitter, Cameraderie, and Second Wind". This would then stipulate that when the contract was lost the perk names had to be changed
This is purely speculation however it's the most likely answer, and occam's razor.
Surely someone who doesn't own the Stranger Things DLC should never go against anyoneone called "The Demogorgon". They should instead face something like "The Snarling Open-Faced Flower Monster".
The post above was in response to the decision to completely remove the original names of the perks. It was originally stated that people who owned the DLC would not see a change, but because of "confusion" they decided to switch it up.
So, it seems unlikely the names were changed because of a legal issue.
I just wish we had a toggle if we own the DLC.
Male Nancy on Inner Healing is way hotter.
But why were they changed in the first place, my dear sweet Pulsar? If it was so confusing for everyone, and there were no legal challenges involved, why change them at all? And why not revert them to the names we all knew?
Well except demo perk most Stranger things perk sucks.
Inner strenght: Ok
Repair with me: Meh
Camaraderie: Never seen anyone using it in my whole life (maybe when the dlc released but thats all)
Second wind: Hello tunneling killer.
Babysitter: okaish perk. Not really good as it seems.
Fixated: Maybe ok for stealth but even so using urban evasion is better for it.
Probably because there was a legal issue with people who didn't buy the DLC owning perks of the same name, but it was too complicated to have two sets of perks that did the same thing, just with different name; so BHVR decided that it'd be easier this way.
And therefore legal issues. And I was therefore correct. Thanks for your time.
