Why Nerf Mettle of Man?

Two perks that already screw up hit verification for killer, those perks actively punish the killer for not making a mistake. Why not nerf Dead Hard but you did nerf Mettle of Man? at least with M.O.M. you weren't actively neglecting the killers game client. not saying you should nerf D.H. just that if you are going to have one anti-tunnel survivor perk, why not all of them? I've been playing since 2016 and even have some of the early exclusives and legacy cosmetics to prove it, never second thought any of your decisions except this and why Trapper gets no love.

  • Mom didn't get nerfed? Or do you mean the old nerf that made it require protection hits?

  • It absolutely needed nerfs because it took literally zero interaction to use, and mostly punished lower tier M1 killers.

  • MoM needed a nerf because it rewarded you for just existing and getting hit. If it was an M1 killer, it was guaranteed to activate simply because it existed and fulfilling the condition was unavoidable.

Dead Hard is dumb and imho, needs a complete rework but even that doesn't compare to the abomination that was old MoM.

The "Mettle of Man" had many advantages:

-Guaranteed an extra state of life without needing to be cured

    -Guaranteed activation in most matches

-All survivors who had the perk would easily activate it in matches

-The penalty of having the aura revealed didn't overwhelm more skillful players.

-It was easily used as a combo with other strong perks.

The problem is that they didn't know how to nerf the activation of the perk, which left the perk practically useless, and only used for players who want to play with activating it.

  • Mettle of Man was not a anti-tunneling perk, it was fundamentally broken in its original state. You could say it was a perk that rewarded you for doing the bare minimum, but even that would be giving the player too much credit. It was a perk that rewarded the player for existing. There is a distinct difference between a perk where there's debate over whether or not a nerf is really necessary, and a perk that gave you an extra health state for free.

  • Mettle of Man is pretty fun to use today with Circle of Healing lol

  • MoM is fine now

It can be buffed to only take 2 hits instead of 3. It's not useful at all right now, unless you are a streamer and trying to get views.

If they nerf CoH properly, I'm fine with this.

  • One doesn't affect the other.

Of course you could say that any Killer buff is dependent on NOED being removed from the game. See how the logic doesn't work.

If NOED was actually OP, this comparison could be valid. And one does affect the other actually. CoH would facilitate much the activation of MoM.
