Yellow Glyph skill check difficulty was actually a good idea

Those more difficult "Yellow glyph" skill checks were actually a good idea, forcing me to be more focused and engaged in the action.

My suggestion is that they should implement this form of difficulty in many of those older perks that affect skill check difficulty. As well as in some killer powers like Pinheads puzzle box solving and the Pig's head traps.

  • Yes please. Yellow glyph is so much fun, there really should be more mechanics like this in-game.

  • i didnt like them for one reason. My brain went "you did the skillcheck, another skill check wont happen for a while". Then i proceeded to miss the skill checks on yellow glyphs for like 4 glyphs in row. Then i remembered that i have to actually continue for sometime and one game later i was done with the challenge. So next time i got same challenge i did same mistakes.

  • Its defenitely more enjoying, fun and interactive. Doing gens and healing teammates is so boring nowadays.

  • I'm not sure about applying these to Pig's boxes. Doing that for 12 seconds, with failure potentially meaning -50% progress loss, injury, or deep wounds depending on addons, would be kinda nuts.

Well, in that circumstance it would have to be tweaked.

  • I believe they're eventually going to replace wiggling button mashing with a repeating skill check that is similar to yellow glyphs

  • Making skill checks more complicated and difficult for survivors as they increase in MMR is the single easiest way to solve most of the game's problems. If there was a real risk of botching checks on gen repair at every skill level (not just when you're a new player), gens wouldn't fly so fast, survivors would have a more engaging and less mind-numbing play experience, lower MMR solos would have an easier time than high MMR SWFs, and the killer wouldn't have to use all 4 perks for slowdown. It'd also make "increase skill check difficulty" perks better, make Doctor more of a threat, increase the value of Pig and Pinhead, and so on.
