The Tunnels

The premise of this idea is that Killers that lack mobility can sometimes get screwed by maps size, and also that I hate how as soon as a Survivor sees a Killer, as long as they're a "standard" non stealthy Killer, you for the most part always know from which direction they're coming from.

So, to resolve that, I'd like to make a suggestion for The Tunnels, entryways on the outskirts of the map that allow you to exit from other entryways across the map, as both Survivor and Killer. (Though Survivors probably don't want to)

The Tunnels

  • 5 Embedded doorways spawn across the trial, 4 on each side of the map and one in The Basement
  • A new asterisk shaped 5-lane hallway spawns with "teleports" to the doorways spawned in the Trial
  • These hallways are long enough that it would not be possible to carry a Survivor from one to the other (using base carry speed). Or Survivors gain significant wiggle progress when the Killer passes a Threshold. (This allows for greater design freedom).
  • Entering a doorway leads to these "tunnels", and exiting a doorway will lead to a specified doorway on the Trial (Though only the hallway to The Basement is marked from the center-point, the rest need to be learned)
  • The Killer is undetectable while in The Tunnels
  • The Killer hears Whispers while Survivors are in The Tunnels
  • The Killer receives Killer Instinct on Survivors who are in The Tunnels while they are in as well.

Comments

  • Boil Over has revealed new technical possibilities.

Entering a Doorway will now add significant progress to the wiggle-bar of carried Survivors.

  • Survivors would just use the tunnels to magnify the efficacy of holding W. They're essentially big long straightaways across any given map.

Well, if carrying a Survivor is prevented from occurring when walking through them, they can now be shortened significantly. Being more of a wildcard/misdirection rather than a Walking simulator.

Hell you could just remove "The Tunnels" completely and just make the doorways in The Basement itself without any need for a 3rd intermediary room if Survivors just insta-wiggle out if you try to take them through the "Teleports" to The Basement.
