How I would fix tunneling early game

A post was made before that suggested a new way to gain bloodpoints if your tunneled early game, for the most part I liked the conditions but a few were unfair to killers. So instead of commenting this under that thread I will instead make a new and see what you guys think about it.

  • When killed, in the match results menu you have an option to re-enter as a wandering soul, entering a realm known as the Spirit World.
  • In this realm you can not see killers, survivors, totems, generators, or anything that directly relates to the core objectives of the ongoing trial.
  • In this realm you gain the ability to place Spirit Tethers on windows, and pallets.
  • If a survivor or killer interacts with the Spirit Tether in any way you gain an additional 1000 bloodpoints at the end of the trail.
  • You gain a maximum of 10 Tethers.
  • When all your tethers have been placed you may spectate any of the players in the trail.

This way even if your tunneled early game, you can still make up plenty of bloodpoints. Now you may be thinking that Swf squads would abuse this, and your totally right, but who cares? The killer still got the kill and all the bp that came with it, and the survivors benefit with free bloodpoints.

No adding more bandaids fixes becuase the main problem isn't fixed doesn't solve anything.

if you get tunneled early game its yours and your teams fault. you have BT and DS to prevent it along with the fact that if a killer tunnels one person with these perks or camps literally at all they completely throw the game. You already lose if you camp or tunnel we dont need more crutch perks or mechanics.

Ah, the common case of "I only read the title! The post itself doesn't matter!"

  • So up to 10.000 bloodpoint for the stunning feat of.... dying, and staying in the trial. Unless you mean to give those points retroactively, which is probably not possible with the current code.

Sounds like an easy way for CWFs to farm bloodpoints.

Not a fan of this idea.

Read my post before you comment.

  • I did, my opinion is that you shouldnt be adding extra game mechanics to compensate for bat team play. There are already other ways of dealing with tunneling you just have to play correctly

If a bubba downs you early game, hooks you, and face camps you, no amount of god tier gameplay can save you at that point. I'm not instantly giving them a higher rank, I'm just saying that if that occurs you should get a small amount of extra bloodpoints to not make the match a waste of time.

  • I wouldn't.

If a survivor fails to extend out early chases for his team to get gens done when the map has all the resources available, then there's nothing wrong with him getting out early.

Tunneling only works well against weak survivors, because strong survivors will waste a killer's time.

Not everyone is a looping god able to juke the spirit for 5 gens doing back flips off pallets, I don't get why your so opposed to this, it's literally just some free bloodpoints for other people who aren't that good.

It's not about being able to loop a killer for 5 gens. As long as you aren't going down immediately three 1 minute chases will basically guarantee the killer losses all 5 gens. And it doesn't take much to lead the killer on for a minute.

What? I'm not arguing about skill level or any of that, literally all I said was that if your tunneled early game and killed, you should be able to get some extra bloodpoints, I'm not saying you should get anything but that, you still won't pip, you won't get anything other than some extra bloodpoints.

You can just move on to the next game.

You shouldn't be rewarded for failing to evade the killer.

You also have 3 team mates who failed to take hits/ hooks for you.

Exactly. survivor is a team game so dont be surprised if you lose when not playing as a team
