If you value kill rate data, disable noed for one month

Since the devs decisions for which killers needs a nerf or a buff is partially, not sure how much, dependant on kill/escape rates, trial one month of gameplay with noed disabled.

I don't like the perk but have never been on the side of those who want it changing however this will severely skew the results from being actual figures. This does not have to be the live version, although you will get more accurate results there, it could be a month long ptb. If it's ptb, an even more accurate test would be all perks disabled for both sides, this definitely could not be in the live version, to see survival rates.

The problem with their kill rate data as it is cannot be held as reliable for all ranks. A camper with noed for example, who only got that one hook all game could end up with a 3 or 4k. This does not show accuracy in the data for how strong or weak killers are, you need to test a variety or methods in how they are getting the kills.

I guarantee that without noed the survival rates will spike and kill rates will drop, then you can see the actual killers that need a rework or add on pass. I know not everyone runs it, I never used to when gens were not completed until between 10-20 minutes and will take it back off once 5 minute full gen completion disappears again. All it takes is 5-10% of overall matches per day of all players to use it to make killers look stronger than they are if the games themselves are ignored and statistics being the only thing used to base decisions on.

  • Can we also track how much dull totems are cleansed per match then if this goes ahead (which I'm not in favour of tbh). Even though I'm in favour of it getting a nerf, I would like to see what happens. If it stays the same or increases then thatll show people werent cleansing dull totems to begin with. If it decreases then it shows that people have no interest in it as NoeD is gone meaning they were actively trying to counter it beforehand.

  • If you value escaping datas, disable gens for one month

HAHA not so smart now, are we?

That makes absolutely no sense and would not provide realistic data lol.

  • As long as all survivor meta perks are disabled too

No, it's kill rate and survival rate data. If they did the no perks ptb, that would fit into this.

  • You know they can just look at matches where NOED wasn't used. They don't have to disable NOED for everyone.

  • Nah, just disable all perks, items, add-ons, offerings and play vanilla, you will see who's strongest

  • I think this is a really good idea. This could also be repeated with other meta-perks such as Dead Hard just to see how impactful they really are.

  • As was mentioned already, the devs already can view their data and statistics and filter for perks used etc.

that’s the reason why there was a weekend to test Bloodlust deactivated, this one was in every single match and they couldn’t look at data without bloodlust at all. Disabling something for a period of time only makes sense for stuff that’s already in every single match enabled.

It was all about the absurde and the troll haha

  • The only way this would be necessary is if they did not have even remotely close to adequate statistic gathering. If they do have good statistic gathering... they probably have an SQL table called like... I don't know... tMatchResults with spots for what killer perks got run, which survivor perks got run, how many and when gens got done, how many and when hook states happened, if and when EGC activated and so on.

If they DO have that, all somebody at Behavior needs to do to get the stats as if NOED didn't exist for the last 3 months is run one simple SQL query that'd look something like this: "SELECT KillRate FROM tMatchResults WHERE KillerPerk1 is not NOED AND KillerPerk2 is not NOED AND KillerPerk3 is not NOED and KillerPerk4 is not NOED AND MatchDate > #4/1/2021#"

Seriously... the only way they'd need to disable NOED for a while to gather stats is if their stat gathering system is overly simple. From what I've seen of the stats they have released... it isn't.

There's no reasons to cleanse dull totems if noed can already be ruled out. Unless you need cleanse speed due to Thrill of the Hunt, or Undying is in play and there's a dull in a problematic spot, a survivor wants an Inner Strength stack, or simply for points. The first two situations are also very niche.

Dull cleansing numbers would plummet, simply because it would reflect the fact that they're not an objective.

It's not that simple. Noed is a surprise perk and knowing for certain if it's in play or not changes players' behaviours.

The stata bhvr as now is for trials where players know noed could be in the killer's loadout until they get confirmation or denial. Filtering out stats can never account for this effect.
