- Permabans are issued without a warning for:
** Posting links on any kind of cheating tools/openly discussing and advertising them.
** Posting guides about exploits, cheating, anything can be used to gain unfair advantage.
** Openly admitting to cheating in DbD.
** Posting hardcore insults and threats.
** Uploading cheats/malware/porn/extremely offensive files directly to the forum posts
Just posting this to make everyone aware of the permanent ban rules I’m not doing anything wrong or discussing anyone’s bans so it’s not against the rules. But you should all know that you can do none of these and still get perms banned if a mod simply disagrees with you or gets salty.

Is it stupid and unfair? Absolutely. Can we do anything about it? Nope. A mod would have to be a literal tyrant for that to happen.
Other times that person did do something and is unaware of it or hiding it.
....You know Mods are volunteers right? They aren't paid (maybe ACMs like peanits are, but mods are volunteer positions).
It's not really a job. It's something they volunteer their free time doing to help the community be a better place. Even if sometimes there are mistakes or things people don't agree with.
I get you are upset but take a deep breathe and don't get yourself banned.

Hopefully this post is ok and that it will explain things for those interested and prevent possible further misunderstandings if it's accurate. @MandyTalk @Peanits If not let me know and I'll either edit it or delete it.
I think what's missing here in relation to some of the ahem past issues that everyone seems to overlook is this.
When punishment is meted out it isn't always for something recent so when people see something handed down and see nothing in recent history that merits it they say unjustified. The punishment in question might be related to something that was further back and given some of the comments about that time it'd be justified.
So say a punishable action was done 1 month ago and some people on here complained about it, but it just now gets punished. Well then people say it was unjustified since the person hasn't done anything recently that they think is punishable.
The other option is that enough actionable stuff happened over a period of time that the mods/devs felt that a punishment was warranted. Think of it along the lines of disconnecting, a few times might not get you punished, but a pattern of it over a longer period will.
If you follow the ahem actions in question and think about it and trace possible cause actions before said effect actions happened you'll likely see a correlation. Now before people wonder why said effect responses happened just remember that the mods are volunteers and have the entire forum to look through, not just a few threads.
There's also only 2 of them plus perhaps Not_Queen that does it and punishments are probably discussed in a non viewable section of the forums before being handed out.

I dont think they see it as "lets investigate this ban it may prohibit people from enjoying products" as well i believe since this is a free wbesite with the possibility of an infinite amount of accounts regardless of past bans they just see it as that. Why waste resources in investigating when the banned person can just make a new account. I dont agree with this at all but we cant do much as we are just a bunch of toxic players after all....
