nerf swf or buff killer

nurse and spirit are the only 2 killers capable of going against sweaty swf.

either nerf swf or buff all other killers to be on par with nurse and spirit.

Hold your horses there. This game is survivor sided in theory.

If MMR worked like it's supposed to (the test for the MMR recently was a success on the most part so I think they will implement it soon) then the game would be extremely survivor sided.

Also the killer needs the survivor to slip up, which means that the better the survivors are, the less slip ups and therefore the more they lose. In theory.

However, due to matchmaking being the ######### hole that it is, killers stand a chance most the time. Swf does decrease that chance but for the most part killers have a chance and I'd say most the time the killer could have played better. I'd agree at that, but the higher the level of play, the less powerful the killers.

Also, let's talk about the skill/hour disparity needed to be good at both killer and survivor.

To match a survivor who's decent (300 hours) on a low tier killer they need about 700-800 hours so they need to master their killer to get a chance against a decent (not brilliant, just decent) survivor.

For a mid tier killer you need about the same time, maybe a bit longer. And for top tier killers (spirit, hag, nurse, Freddy) the time varies from little time (Freddy) to a ######### tonne of hours (nurse).

Also one survivors skill can be fully translated to the next whilst each killer has unique playstyle. The amount of time it takes to be good at all killers is way more than good at survivor.

So yeah, not all red rank killers are good but most have experience. They are already I think the top 20% of players? Maybe a bit less. So rank 1 should be around the top 10% at worst. Should be. They have played enough to get there- so they obviously have some experience depending on how long they have played.

Don't say that all red ranks are #########, cuz some are pretty good. The minority? Sure. But most have some gamesense.

It is really rare that a red rank killer impress me. Sure they exist but it's really really rare.

When i meet a good one, i will tell him but most of them just wins because the game is killer sided for years now. You can't call this game survivor sided while the kill rate is 70%.

Someone from this forum that did stats, he has played both sides (red rank both).

We clearly see that even if DC are a problem, even when there is no DC in a trial, the killer kill rate is huge. And well, DC happened only in 10% of the trials played which means that on hundred of thousands trials, their effect on stats is low.

Well, survivors sided you said ?

  • kill rate is 70% because new survivors dont know what they are doing.

against SWF the kill rate is lower

  • No, there are more strong killers, just depends on your playstyle.

My suggestion for a change is to buff solo survivors to then buff killers. Basically, solo survivors are weak due to lack of communication, if they were to have a set communication wheel where you hold a button and quickly move your mouse to say for example 'working on a gen' then solo survivors would be buffed up to swf. Because survivors would then be on an equal playing ground killers could then be buffed to deal with this and it would be easier.

In posts, people who want to nerf swfs always come up with ideas that would then weaken solo survivors even more, i personally think my idea doesn't have many down sides.

Nerfing SWF would just discourage people from playing together, and buffing killer just destroys the already awful Solo Queue experience. What should be done is that survivor information should be buffed to close the gap between Solo and SWF and with that we can then safely buff all killers.

    I don't think so.

People do SWF because it's fun to play with friends, not because they get the benefit from voice comm or whatnot.

It's fair to add some disadvantages to compensate the advantages SWF gets such as voice comm, the prior knowledge to what perks your friends have, skill levels.

Matching survivors' information with SWF means all survivors will have Bond and Kindred as default, share the information what perks you have and ranks before the match.

    This will completely destroy DBD.

  • What makes the most sense is just limiting SWF to 2 party instead of 4.
