Easiest ways to fix the grind.

First: Let us sell stuff from the bloodweb.

Look, it should be no problem to have it that we can sell items and addons we don't need/want or can't use anymore and get BP back.

Second: Separate perks and items. Make perks a bit more expensive, but have them as their own thing to unlock. Be it its own bloodweb or just a store.

Third: Regular Bloodhunts. Just have 2x the BP every (other) weekend, maybe with special items to increase it further and maybe even small cosmetics/charms to get by playing (not by buying them for cells).

These are three things that ARE easy to program AND would help a lot.

Yeah, perk levels are no longer needed.

The perks in general need a massive overhaul. But you'd still have some grind for items etc. Also, selling items could be one way to clean up ones inventory, which is also nice.

In short: Perk overhaul and the points above in combo

Actually u level up a character mainly for their perks. A character is complete if they have all the perk.

Item grind doesnt matter, its not hard to get a 3000 BP for a medkit. Its supposed for u to make a choice to pick an item. If not, I would always pick a medkit with me.

But selling items is nice. I never use flashlight.

  • Selling items would be great, but I doubt we'll ever get that.

  • The grind is far too excessive. I purchased every survivor and killer, but after 100 hours of gameplay I have one killer build on Leatherface, and two survivor builds. I’m talking decent builds with meta perks. I have all these characters to use but I can only play them with suboptimal or bad perks. Just the grind to get all perk slots unlocked on so many characters is ridiculous.

  • Perk tiers haven't been useful in years. Start with removing those.

  • All these things are great but the Devs will likely never do any of these suggestions. This game survives through it's grind. The gameplay is good but after a while it becomes incredibly tedious due to there only being ONE game mode (or two if you count killer and survivor as separate game modes).

That would probably be the best change to dbd in years.

I've been saying this for a couple years now. It's nice to finally see somebody else who sees this.

  • I can agree with everyone else that perk tiers need to be rid of, there's currently 164 perks in total. How is grinding for that many perks fun?

    You are not alone.

  • Yeah. The grind is absoulte dog doo doo and the devs will never do anything serious about it because they're insecure about their own game.

    Prove me wrong BHVR.

They're good ideas but it won't change. Its a business and part of that business is the desire to complete- as in all perks for all killers and survivor(s) (different people will have different versions of complete). And BHVR know this, its getting to your version of complete that adds further motivation and desire to play the game. Perks don't make the killer, the player themselves determines the efficiency of the killer but the perks sure help. The thought of completing a killer and being able to be more efficient with all perks available is also desirable. You're right it would be good but I cant see it happening

  • Solid ideas. I like the idea of there being separate bloodwebs for perks and items.

Or getting rid of perk tiers.

I like the idea of cross-character progression on common perks, so once you unlock something like insidious or resilience for example, then it is unlocked for all characters.

but for some reason the devs are against that.

  • While weare at it maybe also give some bonuses to prestiging? Like increased bp gain (like 10% per prestige lvl more on prestiged character or 1% overall for each prestige lvl on any character) or cheaper things in bloodweb, like -500 bp price per prestige lvl.
