Why doesn't Blood Warden cause Endgame Collapse?
Endgame collapse can happen without the gates being open and Blood Warden needs endgame collapse to be used... so shouldn't the perk cause the endgame collapse to happen regardless of if the Survivors have 99'd the gates or not? Maybe like 60 seconds after the last generator finishes the collapse starts automatically? Idk it feels like that should be how Blood Warden works it would make the perk much better.

I use Blood Warden for those ultra altruistic sweat squads that open the gates and like to hover around downed people for those sweet cheesy 4ks. Dunno how practical that version of Blood Warden would be though. As soon as the last generator is left if 3+ people are still alive someone's instantly latching onto that exit gate.
Because it wouldn't be fun for the survivors. Which matters the most in this game and Blood warden being that consistent would mean killers having enjoyment and that's not allowed.
Ehhh no, feels like it would be worse imo. If it forced EGC survivors will always have plenty of time to escape so they just have to wait it outside the gates. EGC is 2min having BW trigger at the right time for the 1min duration could be fatal mistake to survivors making it impossible for them to escape to be sacrificed to the entity. Risk and Reward and there's moments where it really shines.
EGC only happens when either the gates are open or the hatch is closed. If the hatch is open it either means that there is only one person left alive and therefore blood warden wouldn’t activate because there is nobody left that you can hook. And if a key is used to open the hatch earlier it still wouldn’t change very much.
I guess I kind of understand what you’re saying but I still don’t know what starting EGC earlier has any effect on Iron Maiden. You still need to have a person on the hook and the gates open even if you do time it to the last generator.
Dear god, so basically take NOED and blood warden and if any totem is left on the map it's just game over. 60 seconds to run around one shot downing everyone? Dear god........
Currently, bloodwarden is meant to have a requirement that you have to activate by doing an objective at that time, making it something unavoidable like that would be ridiculous.
I think a good argument could be made that it would be a worse perk if it triggered automatically with the EGC. The EGC lasts 2-4 minutes (depending on if someone is hooked or slugged). Bloodwarden lasts 60 seconds. The most strategic use of Bloodwarden is when the Endgame collapse is already over half done. Then you can trap the survivors on the map so they are all sacrificed. If Bloodwarden triggered automatically then it will be impossible to trap survivors in when the EGC finishes.
It wouldn't change much
Some survivors wait till the last second to leave anyways... BW activating EGC gives them more reason to stay
I would say EGC should start when the last gen is done and extending the timer to 3-4 minutes
