Name Perks that are good on Blight that are not the meta perks

Just interested in what the community thinks of what perks are good on Blight besides the generic meta build......I see every Blight run it and very very VERY boring to play against and would like to main Blight but don't want to be the Generic meta.

  • By Meta I assume you mean Tinkerer, Undying, Ruin, Pop, Corrupt and maybe BBQ?

If so, here are a few ideas:

-Thrilling Tremors make a good substitute for BBQ and gives useful information.

-Save the best for Last, gimmicky but if you're good with the killer, you may get great use out of it with his catch up ability.

-Infectious Fright, very high potential to down quickly, and you can easily dash to the nearby survivors and down them as quickly as you did the first.

-Nurse's Calling, just good on most killers, works on him too, especially when you're dashing around.

-Generator Surge, pretty good replacement for the more usual gen defense stuff, especially since you're darting around the map where gens are being done.

-I'm all Ears, give you information when someone vaults, which you can quickly take advantage of with your dash if you're advanced enough with Blight's power.

-Brutal Strength, break pallets faster to immediately catch up to your prey while they are trying to get to another tile.

-Monitor and Abuse, his terror radius is subtle enough to go unnoticed at the start, and could get you a cheeky hit and then combo with his power.

  • Monitor, enduring, BBQ, spirit fury/slowdown of choice is what I like running on him. Monitor is great on high mobility killers in general (low-key broken on Hillbilly too btw), enduring is good for people who don't wanna care about pallets even less than you already should be caring. There really is no replacement for BBQ, it's such a perfect perk for him. And spirit fury, corrupt are 2 ok perks to use on him. The 4th slot is optional for me, I don't feel like he needs any slowdown perks if you're on top of your game, a lot like Billy, Nurse, Freddy etc.

to add onto this, infectious fright plus the alchemists ring turns him into a pseudo nurse in terms of potential snowballing.

Thrilling tremors is great, pop that on with a stealth perk and your good.

whispers is good for when your not using any other tracking perk.

thanataphobia is quite decent for slowdown.

play with your food for the meme of how fast can i become.

corrupt intervention for early game slow.

even though its more of a meta perk on him, tinkerer in builds without ruin/undying is still incredibly fun. so is trail of torment.

What you don't want to run though is instant down perks. they don't work with his power, and it would be pretty much a waste of a slot, any tracking perks/chase perks are decent on him, and slowdown perks are good on any killer. spirit fury enduring is quite memey because nobody really wants to run that on blight, but they'll start throwing pallets early once they know you have it (though its easy enough to get it back by breaking pallets with your power.)

  • Thanks all for the great advice, good to see people found other perks that are good with Blight instead of generic meta

  • I can tell you that Whispers is just awesome in general, but especially on killers like Blight

  • i mean most good perks are considered meta, its just because theyre good and actually useful. sadly alot of killer perks arent worth running especially if youre wanting a good a strong build to verse those stronger teams, for example iv always liked the idea of surge but the fact its basic attacks only (not lethal rushes) and has a cooldown and a small range its pretty meh. all round good perks would be : Corrupt, pop, ruin, undying, BBQ, Tremors, Nurses, infectious, brutal, thana, discordance, surveillance, sloppy, monitor. its up to you if theyre too meta but i dont see why youd go use perks that give such little value if youre playing at high level

  • My build of choice only uses one "meta" Perk. Ruin, Thrill, Dying Light, Thanatophobia.

On Blight, it's the meanest stall build in the game. Thana slows down cleansing and gens, Thrill slows down cleansing and tells Blight to protect hexes, Dying slows down gens, and Blight applies that fat pressure to get Ruin to work. No matter how the Blight plays, no matter how the Survivors play, no matter the options either side chooses, as long as the Blight is applying pressure in any way, the game slows to a crawl.

  • Brutal Strength

Have easier time to catch up after breaking a pallet, with Blight this little time saver can be game changing.

    Fire Up

For the same reason as Brutal Strength, catch up faster after vaulting a window or breaking a pallet.

Yeah I know but I call it the Generic Meta Build because even though its strong everybody uses it and becomes boring to use or face against. When I am playing survivor I know how to avoid it but if the Blight has different perks then the tables have turned cause since he has different perks now then you don't really know how to avoid them until later in the game.

I have no problem with the build but just feels like everyone is obligated to have the known build just to be good at Blight and even feels like the perk set is his power so you cant change it unless you dont want to be a strong Blight.

I am fine with 1 same perk but 3 or 4 is kinda over kill but just glas lot of people here commented different builds that are probably even better then the known build cause no one expects it.

  • Dragons Grip for some one-shot. Make Your Choice for more one-shot. Infectious Fright because snowball. Whispers because tracking. Haunted Grounds because if it glows it goes. Enduring because ######### pallets. Sloppy Butcher because a lot of hits are m1's. Nurses because people heal, although I wouldn't run Nurses and Whispers together. I'm All Ears because it's an amazing perk. STBFL if you really want to be a little wierd.
