It isn't about criticizing fog whisperers, it's anyone in general. You can't name and shame.
So you can get in trouble like with the developers, if you exposed someone for being toxic? (Sorry if it sounds sarcastic it’s not meant as it I’m just confused)
on the forums, naming and shaming (posting the names of people, or hints to their names) is strictly forbidden. You'll be warned, then jailed, then banned for a month, then permanently banned.
For example, saying that "Today I faced a Meg who tbagged me at every pallet, then died lol." won't get you in trouble. Saying "There are a bunch of fog whisperers who im pretty sure are corrupt, here's some proof" and the proof has all identifiable characteristics removed, you won't get in trouple. Saying "Today I faced a Meg called 'SusieSlut' on steam who tbagged me at every pallet then died, lul she's so bad" would get you in trouble. Saying "I'm pretty sure the Fog Whisperers DaylightByDeath and SusanneTheShark are corrupt" would be naming and shaming and get you in trouble.
Make any sense?
[let me clarify to the mods, i am not talking about my own experience here. i did not, in fact, face a meg called 'SusieSlut' on steam today. the names were pureply used for examples because i'm tired and my brain went there.]
Also, people like to literally call the devs' names and insult them instead of using REAL critism. That's a big problem also.
Yeh it sucks. I pointed out a FW who purposefully deranked, but got a warning with the message deleted.
heres a brief summary without names
X community members were doing X bannable thing on the forum and were being toxic in their gameplay
X community member got banned
People pointed at Y community members who are fog whisperers who didn't do the thing X did on forums but was just being toxic in gameplay
Z community members called Y community members out for toxic gameplay similar to X members and yelled that they should be held to higher standards
Z community members got banned for name and shame
