Why punishing Prestige? Why punishing to buy DLC's??

I have all Killers with most DLC's and i play both survivor and killer on red ranks and i am experiencing a lot of issues related to BP.

Why punishing Prestige??

I don't get why prestige not only strips the addons from the character but the Perks as well!?

My Meyers as well as 4 other killers have ALL Perks (60+) but i have never bothered to level up prestige, because i thought the only thing you get are these bloody clothes. After ages i have now figured out that it also gives you much better items on tier 3. Obviously i can forget about this. I will not spend another 100M just to play with the perks that i want to!

Buying DLC's actually feels punishing if you have to force yourself throu weeks of grinding just to get this one Build you want to play. DLC's get more and more but having more characters does not give you any extra BP that are despirately needed.

My suggestions:

  • Remove the punishing elements from prestige. I see NO REASON why players should be punished for leveling up and why this has made it into the game in the first place!
  • Add BP Multiplyer that raise your BP gains by X% depending on how many DLC's characters you have!

The way in which the bloodweb works let's the grinding part of the game grow exponentially with every new DLC!

Now i have Killers i do not want to start grinding for because it would take me weeks to get a proper build with them!

"It's not 'punishing'. It's giving Prestige some meaning! So you prestige someone you really like and then go get the perks for them." - BHVR, probably.

It's just artificial grind inflation - you want to prestige, you get to experience the grind all over again instead of having 50 levels of nothing but items and add-ons because you have all perks.

I have no need for "prestige" and bloody clothes. But every killer has about 80% junk addons you can use on lower levels, but forget about on red ranks. The game has not communicated well enough how important this will become and that it is actually mendatory to up your prestige BEFORE you get all perks. Right now i am spending most of my BP on junk i don't need. Thus giving me less BP to spend on other, none main Killers.

  • The higher rarity items is only like a slight 4% or 5% increase. Most people say they don't even notice a difference at P3. I sure don't.

Even the devs said there is practically no difference.

  • This actually "calms my spirit".

The "punishement" for having too many killers / perks however is still an issue. Recently i bought the blight as well as the deathslinger.

I have bought them but i will not play them because of the hardcore grind i would have to take just to get monitor and abuse on deathslinger or "dunno yet what is good on" the blight. I have a lot of other killers that i will never max out and actually get to play. 65 or so perks. As usual, the ones you actually need are the ones you will get at the very last on this chain. No joke, i think there is some kind of algorythm that likes to screw with me.

    65 * 3 = 195 perks

Per level (counting on 50) each level costs about 50k BP and gives 2 perks.

    195 / 2 * 50.000 = 4.875.000 Million Bloodpoints.

With an average of 30k per match i would have to win 163 matches to get enough bloodpoints to (probably) get the perks i want. This is only one killer and i have 21 ...

Most of them on lvl 35 but only for the teachables. No chance of maining an additional killer.

  • I'm the type of player who will never do prestige, the grind is horrible atm with that many characters, Bloodweb needs rework.

  • my suggestion just decreasing perks to only 2 tiers (standard and upgraded) would make a big difference, or increase how many perks show up on the bloodweb past lvl 10. having at least 2 perks to choose between lvls 10-30 seems reasonable. Or maybe you could spend iridescent shards to upgrade perks right away.

  • Never prestige, you will hate it.

It's one of the most pointless things in this game.
