Optional set unlinking
Could you please give us the option to unlink sets you can have the set linked by default and even still sell it as one whole bundle but could you at least give us the option to unlink it after we buy it.
If there's clipping or overlapping issues the people who decided to unlink it can deal with that. But at least this way you still can keep it as a linked outfit and design outfits accordingly.
But have the option to break apart if someone wants to with the stipulation that they will have to deal with the clipping issues as it won't be your problem because they chose to unlink it.

With the exception of legendary cosmetics of course.
Legendary can stay perma linked.
However this suggestion I talked about above could be tested out with original characters and if you feel like it's well received and you're happy with it.
You can try to negotiate it with licensed characters for example Silent Hill or any future licence holders with your original test characters as proof this system can work and be profitable
It's a win-win scenario.
Behaviour gets to experiment with linked sets and they could go all out with it.
People who like mix and match can choose to unlink it and designer whatever look they want at the risk of some clipping or overlapping issues.
And even from a monetary standpoint they could still keep it as you have to buy the full link set before you can unlock it.
@Peanits do you mind passing on this suggestion if it's not too much of a problem.
Still not possible for every piece, especially looking at that Nea skin, only the headpiece would make sense seperated. And then there is the issue that probably no other head would even fit with the rest..
it would only make sense for some things, like killer weapons or Janes head from the Greek Legends set.
That's the point brought up if you choose to unlink it and mix and match and it doesn't look good or it has major clicking issues that your own prerogative you chose to actively unlink it.
Considering all linked sets have that icon you could do something like make the icon interactable so you can toggle whether it's linked or not.
If you choose to unlink you have to deal with the clipping issues for your mix and match and if you don't like the clipping issues you could just link the cosmetic back again.
Only as soon as the option exists, people will still complain about clipping or overlapping anyway and will demand it to be fixed. We have seen that time and again, and i don´t see why it should be different this time.
At that stage the devs have the full right to say.
"Git rekt"
"It's supposed to be a linked outfit meant to all be together. While we did give you the option if you make the choice unlink it and combined it with other things that is your problem if you have overlapping and clipping issues"

When it comes down to it in my opinion If you want the freedom to mix and match things that are meant to be in a set that is fine you should have the option but you shouldn't feel entitled to complain when you use something outside of its intended purpose and it doesn't work how you want it to.
It wouldn’t affect only the one that actively decides to unlink their cosmetic set but everyone that plays a match with that person.
also with some outfits it wouldn’t only be clipping issues but I think the top of Neas outfit ends way higher and other bottom cosmetic pieces wouldn’t even reach up there so how would you bridge the gap?

I doubt it would affect the other people in the match with them that much. Considering there are things like Ugly Jake where people act if we try to get the worst combinations of cosmetics possible I don't think it's going to completely destroy someone's the game to have a bad looking Nea running around.
Honestly if a killer or a fellow survivor are paying more attention to your clipping cosmetics than they are to the actual game then I honestly don't know what to tell you.
As for the top ending high up we already have things like crop tops and that in the game so not connecting is not exactly going to destroy things. But in relative terms as they sent before if it looks absolutely awful that's on the person who decides to mix and match it that way
If you think it’s for clipping issues or whatever and not money driven than you are insane, just look at how Bunny feng isn’t linked yet something like Nea or Jane is

I mean technically with what I suggested they would still keep their money as you would have to buy the whole cosmetic initially anyway.
It's just that those who don't care about the clipping issues can at least still mix and match if they decide to toggle off the link
