Questions for Huntress mains

If she had proper hitboxes, would she still be viable? Or become bad? Once they tried to fix it, but the hitboxes were actually too small, and they went through the survivors. But what if she had a full on proper hitbox? Would she be fine or need buffs?

It is logical that she would be weaker after a change like that. At the moment you can easily aim slightly off target and still get ur hit.

  • You gotta remember that theres more at play that is making the hits look wonky than just the hitbox on the hatchet. A survivor's hitbox is not the exact shape or size of the survivor. All survivors have the same pill shape hitbox making it equally as easy to hit Jeff as it is to hit Claudette, even though Jeff is visual much larger than Claudette. Factor this is with lag in that the survivor model is further back on the killer's screen than on the survivor's screen... It makes things look wonky.

To answer your question though, do I think if Huntress throw hatchet shaped projectiles rather than pill shaped projectiles would it matter? I think it would cause changes but not in the way you might expect. That same hatchet hitbox that seems to make it easier to hit survivors also often enough screw over the Huntress player in hitting objects in the enviroment. Think of boxes and such that make up loops for example and all the times Huntress players will try to throw over them. Those larger than life hitboxes often times makes contact with the boxes when it visually shouldnt, just as often as they make contact with survivors when it visual shouldnt. I think if you were able to change them to be hatchet shaped/sized and get them to work...it would kinda balance out because atm...its wonky for BOTH sides.

Ooh, that's interesting. So she'd become unloopable at short walls, but it'd also be harder to play? She'd have a ridiculously high skill cap to consistently win those though...

Not quite what I said, lol. Think of it this way. Lets say your healing up behind a gen and get scalped by the hatchet. You might feel like that was unfair, when in actuality...the Huntress managed to avoid hitting the hitbox on the gen itself to get you behind it. Shrinking down the hatchet might give you an idea of not having to worry about getting tapped by a tree trunk, but all of a sudden its also easier to AVOID hitting the gen that your hiding behind.
