"Auto aim doesn't exist"

So yeah, auto aim apparently doesn't exist, it's "animation assist." Smart thing if it actually connected the attack before moving the camera. Easiest way to debunk this, hit a survivor on the hook who's being sacrificed with Billy or play on console. It's not even hitting anything, it's just ending the attack early and counting it as a missed hit. With Billy you turn around (at least before Survivors on hook had collision when stalking). I'm just fed up with so many attacks that definitely would've hit if it was a lunge and not an attack that ended earlier than it should have. If an attack is ended early (not because of the player releasing M1 or the triggers) it should definitely count as a hit.

  • There isn't any auto aim. There's just a hit cone. The killers weapon doesn't have a hitbox, when someone presses M1 the game scans a cone in front of them and makes them hit the first thing in the cone. It also makes the camera immediately centre on the thing that just got hit.

So the devs actually addressed this in a stream. It's meant to count the hit before turning your camera. It's a bug that it checks collision after and they're working on a fix.

I know thats what they said on stream but it doesn't explain why so many lunges end early for me. Try hitting a survivor being sacrificed, it will aim upwards but it doesn't actually hit them.

and I don't know if this is true but I hope it is because it's so infuriating when they get extra distance because of it.

Because if they move out of the way of your cone as the scan registers, you don't hit them. The camera flick registers before the hit, which has been a thing since at least a year ago, which is why you have to manually keep survivors in you FOV instead of relying on terrible hit detection. Which is not nearly as much of a problem as the fact that literally any pixel inside your hit cone will force you to smack the wall that WASN'T in your FOV and give the survivor a free escape.

As a Legion main, I feel you. Personally I get tired of misses where it very clearly shows your weapon going through them as they start a vault.

If they fix that kills on console are gonna jump, because a lot of these jukes people do only work because the camera gets all janky

Yep, can repeatedly try to hit the survivor as the sacrifice occurs and the camera will automatically pan upwards as the survivor is being pulled into the sky.

    Its definitely auto aim.

It's not auto aim, it's hit help
