Balance of SWF on comms
Can someone please tell me what BHVR have been talking about as to how to address the imbalance with SWF on comms?
Either solo survivors are nerfed SWFCs or SWFCs are buffed solo survivors, this makes no sense BHVR talk about balance in their changes yet don't still address this issue!

This was the last official word I saw on it from the devs, and I don't think the plan has changed since then.
Here’s what solo survivors need to reach basic SWF comm level... base kit Bond, kindred and better together.
I seriously gave up on killer when interrupting a survivor on my totem, hit survivor, they run away, notice another on my totem, hit survivor, they run away, I check totem in case original survivor there... nope, a 3rd survivor on my old hex Ruin!!!
There's nothing they can do without breaking the game. You give everyone heat vision and number counters, it becomes a math game and everyone turns into a bot.
I disagree, they either buff solo survivor and killer to balance. This would make it like SWF, too easy to know what is going on.
However leave solo survivors and killers alone and nerf SWF and it works. Sure playing in an SWF this nerf would hurt but there must be a cost to playing with friends on comms. At the moment it is the solo survivors at times but always the killers that are paying for SWF and perks.
Other ideas have included affecting bp points for survivors and killers with SWFs in the lobby.
Please can anyone tell me why not to nerf perk slots for SWFs?
I use to aura perks to be fairly close to SWF information but would obviously replace them with second chance perks like DS, BT, Adrenaline and unbreakable.
Don't say people will leave as SWF will still be available but nerfed like other perks.
And then they balance killers towards that. Which honestly, wouldnt be a bad thing. You cant first buff killer and then balance survivors around that, because then you'd get more perks to counter act #########. People are already saying that some perks are second chance perks, while NOED isnt, even though NOED is a better perk than Adrenaline to the point that it fully counters Adrenaline(unless Adrenaline gets a buff where it will inflict deep wound status). Once people stop looking at those perks and looking at the difference between optimal 4 man SWF and base game mechanics. Then start changing base game mechanics to fit that, making the optimal 4 man SWF build essentially inexistent. Then change the base killer mechanics to fit those new mechanics.
For example, if we buff solo queue to the point of SWF, then it would make a lot more sense for Insidious to be a perk that allows a killer to sneak around, being fully invisible to all aura readings, no footsteps and no terror radius, than to camp a hook, it would make a lot more sense for bloodhound to actually leave a visible trail thats more accurate than scratchmarks after you just hit a survivor, it would make a lot more sense for Territorial Imperative to make the killer walk faster towards the basement when someone else is in the basement, which can be used while in a chase aswell. It would make sense to buff a lot of currently terrible killer perks because there would be room to do so. Right now, both survivors and killers have been nerfed to the ground, there is still room for nerfing, obviously, but there is no room to buffing weak and terrible perks. Dejavu, even after getting buffed, is still terrible. But if they buff it slightly more, it would suddenly be too strong. Sole Survivor, practically useless, but give it a buff and you suddenly have a perk that is too strong. Just like Mori, right now, its just slightly too strong for the average match. Especially when you have a camping tunneler too. Yet nerf it, even in the way that I suggested, and it would simply be slightly too weak. Still strong enough to actually make a difference, but it simply wont do. Up The Ante is a very niche perk, and way too weak. There are only 2 uses for it: gain 3% extra for a self unhook and gain 3% extra in freeing yourself. It simply is too low, even if you have a 4 stack with 4 vigo salty lips. You might aswell simply use Deliverance. Not a single survivor perk can be truly considered S tier. And not a single one can be made S tier without ruining games of killers consistently.
Then you have killer perks like beast of prey, which, if you make the redstain disappear at the start of a chase, its simply too strong of an indication and killers might aswell simply turn around. It would make a lot more sense for Beast of Prey to allow for bloodlust to start slightly earlier, but even that can be gamebreaking. Predator could be altered, but it would be too strong in the current meta. It could be similar to my previous description of Bloodhound, where it would leave a very visible scratchmark trail, even when a survivor is walking(which would also buff Fixated) after you hit them or lost them in a chase. All of those changes are possible in game if you buff survivors and killers quite a bit.
One of the biggest changes they should make, however, is when a killer forces out 1 survivor early in game. That survivor should get a compensation for that sacrifice too. That way, a killer is free to simply tunnel a single survivor without forcing a survivor to lose a pip, which currently is the biggest issue I have with things like Mori in the first place. The whole thing of forcing survivors to lose a pip without it really being their fault is disgusting. Losing a pip due to mistakes made, sure, fine, losing one because the killer happened to find you early, tunnel you after an unhook and mori you within 3 minutes of the game? Not fine.
They said they want to buff solo to the level of SWF and then buff killers to accommodate but they haven't really done much to back it up. I wouldn't expect any changes anytime soon.
Interesting direction but guess they'd lose out on the cost of the grind if they reduced perks.
Perks can be adjusted but these changes should have been a high priority, simply hiding information like ranks worries me that they aren't looking to fix huge faults like this in the game
