I want it back >:(

I forgot that bhvr removed the ability of the killer take out a survivor when he is jumping on a damn hatch. This is a bullshit, survivors have a perk and itens that helps then find the hatch and if the killer close it they can just open the gates that already is quicker than before, and people say that survivor have no advantage on the killer? Survivors don't need to repair gens anymore, just wait to everybody die, isn't it Injustice? Bhvr need to fix it

No killers are getting too big of an aventage it's to point when I play killer i face camp slug an tunnel cause so many kunta ruined the game an gens are slow an boring an hit boxes are trash they buff killers side anymore this game will die more faster then it already is y'all just want buffs cause you got no friends an play loners cause your bad an totem's such as ruin needs nerfed an maps need changes an trapper needs neefed

Trapper needs a nerf? Like what, no traps? Traps are highlighted into the sky, cannot be placed near walls and pallets? Maybe when a survivor steps in a trap the survivor is trapped for 1 sec, heals one health state, and gets 5000BP. Should we add 1 generator automatically completed or is that too big of a nerf? Can he keep his basic attack? Is he allowed to walk?

Boss has it right. The Hatch-Standoff was a very unpleasant feature of the game.

Though, you should not be able to 99% gates. If left alone, they should regress, or the killer should be able to smash them, like the gens..

it's 2 minutes if the killer isn't around anyone.

4 if they are. And if they want to try and guarantee kills with survivors staying in the game to try and rescue hooked survivors or just to farm survival points and bully the killer.

Either way, the game is still held hostage.

That's not what holding the game hostage is. Holding the game hostage would be like Bahroo staying behind after the gates were open just to keep running the same infinite until the killer dc'd

It is holding the game hostage if they had the option to end it (by opening the gate and leaving), and instead delaying the end so that they can continue going for saves or bullying the killer.

I mean I think it should be a thing because, you can just close it before they have the time to jump in. Just what Im thinking.

It was in response to your comment regarding the sole survivor being able to turn it around themselves or they lose.

Without being able to 1v1 it isn't possible so this would imply the survivor should be able too if they are good enough versus any and all killers. Hence why I wrote would be bad for balance.

The mindset you seem to imply here is that a 4k should be granted to the killer in this scenario. Until you find this last survivor and kill them then you have not done the objective so why do you believe the egc should just start and basically grant you that kill? The door mechanic is more in favour of the killer so the hatch is the last resort in most games.

The hatch is a mechanic the devs decided on and has been part of the game since before its release to stop hostage situations and still make the game engaging for both sides. The game then switches your objective from protecting generators and hunting to finding the hatch or survivor before they can get out.

The game is not over till its over.

The lose of points is an issue with the emblems not the hatch mechanic itself as it has a legitimate purpose. What they need to do is reward the killer with a pip of it happens.

The Killer should have been considered a "Win" when they killed 2 survivors. That is, what the dev's themselves have said. Is the win condition of the Killer. However as far as the score goes, you have to get a 4k to pip in red ranks, therefore the win condition is actually to kill all survivors. While the survivors goal as a TEAM of 4 people is to power generators to open doors and escape. Also the EGC is not in any way the Killer's favor, survivors can 99% doors, and if you hook a survivor it slows the EGC timer. The whole purpose of 2 doors is so that the Killer can't camp 1 door. How many chances do you need to survive as Survivor before you decide to get good at the game?

As far as killer goes, if the Survivors failed to do their objective and power generators, there is no reason why the Killer who played well against a TEAM of 4 survivors should lose out on the 4k they deserve because a survivor abuses game mechanics to remain hidden taking the game hostage, or being given a free win mechanic. What does that tell the Killer? Their work doesn't matter? Did they do something wrong? No? Then why are they punished and forced to black pip or de pip for it.

You can try over and over again to attempt to convince me otherwise, but every part of the end of a match is survivor favored, and you can't change my mind.

Thats funny how you cal it one sided. Because i actually play both sides. Not equally, i play Surivor about 60% of the time, and killer only 40%, but that has its ups and downs both ways.

Yet, i do play both sides, and i see both sides. but if a 3k as a killer with one lucky escape is "survivors win every round" to you, maybe its not my mindset thats single sided.

I would love to pip or black pip getting the 3k, but the score of the game doesn't allow that. The dev's say the win condition is 2 kills - any method, but the score won't reward you even a black pip unless you get 3k in red ranks. You can't get a pip without the 4k in red ranks.

Unless you take the game hostage and max all other categories, then you can get a single pip on 3k in red ranks.

I play both too, and sure I play Killer more, but anyone with a basic math education can tell you that it's infinitely easier to be rewarded for playing survivor than it is to play Killer. With survivor even if you don't play well you get things like the Hatch mechanic and perks to cover your mistakes giving you handfuls of second chances. With Killer you have to take perks just to balance the game, and you don't get things like the Hatch mechanic for when you play bad.

As I said that is an issue with the emblems. Not all killers need to get a 4k take legion for example due to his chase potential he is easier than a lot to pip with. What needs to change is the emblems as each killer needs to be looked at separately and be rewarded for using their power and not a one solution for all idea.

You fail to understand the hatch IS an objective. While you like it or not does not change that fact. It's not about a survivor holding the game hostage its about the length of time it would take to try and achieve doing the gens while not being found just prolonging the game for no reason. The hatch closing was tested long before the egc and was ditched to make what we have now as the game went on far too long.

This creates a stalemate scenario with little progress being doneso the killer could be walking around doing nothing while the survivor stealths around touching gens now and again. Do you honestly Think that would be good for the game because you feel you deserve a 4k?

You don't deserve a 4k until you find and sacrifice the last one much like survivors don't deserve an escape before they leave the game.

That is one of the major issues with this community. They think what they consider a win should be granted and anything apart from it is unfair so mechanics which are basically a QOL feature should be removed.

I doubt you were around for the old hatch standoff situations as if you were you would see it very differently knowing what could happen and how stubborn both sides could be when it comes to the precious kill 4k or escape.

Again, not holding the game hostage, stop trying to rewrite a definition. Holding the game hostage would be the hatch standoff, intentionally blocking survivors in the basement, opening the doors and refusing the leave while hiding in the map (no longer applicable due to the EGC), or defending a 3 gen so intensely the game goes on for more than a half hour.

I would agree actually, if not for one important fact. Hatch priority goes to the first person to get to it. So if you reach it first as killer you can close it and there is nothing they can do about it, you can't use hatch the moment you press space.

With the gates they have to anticipate you closing the hatch and wait at a gate to do that, so if you have whispers they are just 100% dead almost every time unless they really hide well and juke you well. It's actually really hard for a survivor to escape at the end if alone without hatch, which if you reach first you can close anyways so no need to grab a survivor.

All while stopping that stalemate hatch camp garbage.

So, by your definition, only the killer can hold the game hostage? By doing what they're supposed to do? XD

3-gen: "You're holding the game hostage by protecting your generators. You should just walk away and let us do them so we're no longer hostage." That's pretty stupid to say.

Blocking Survivors in the Basement: "You're holding the game hostage by trying to stop us from leaving the basement and hooking us here. You should just walk away and let us get out for free with no resistance." Also pretty stupid.

Opening the doors and refusing to leave: Standard survivor practice. So survivors do currently hold the game hostage with the endgame. You at least admit that.

But otherwsie you're saying that the killer should just let survivors get away with doing gens if the last three are close together, and get out of the basement without a fight.... because it holds the game hostage?

Now who's trying to redefine something.

If a survivor 99's a gate then goes back into the map to do anything, they're holding the game hostage. They could, by your definition, simply taken the fraction of a second longer to open the gate and leave without the killer stopping them (because it's what they're supposed to do). But instead they prolong the game by keeping the gate closed. Using your logic, I've proven that it is holding the game hostage by your definition.

I rewrote nothing and played the logic along your lines. You're welcome.

I'm going by the dev's definition. For a survivor to hold the game hostage, you'd have to open the exit gates, and just hide or run infintes. You can't do either as the EGC will force the game to end. Neither of which is possible to do thanks to the timer

But they aren't. Because you the killer have the option to open said gate as well, meaning you can easily just start the EGC yourself. If you didn't have that ability, then I'd agree with you, but it's literally impossible to hold the game hostage at endgame now since both sides can open gates and use/close hatch.

But they are. Because you as a killer have other things to do. If they could open the gate and chose not to, they're holding the game ostage while you are busy trying to get down and hooks. You act as if the killer has nothing else to do.

You're once again arguing that the killer should just leave the survivors alone and LITERALLY OPEN THE DOOR FOR THEM to let them escape, or it's the killer holding the game hostage instead.

  • I wonder how players with hearing and sight problems find the hatch because I have trouble doing that and there's nothing wrong with mine
