Please give us X-ray perk.
I have to say that this game has shifted from Hide n Go Seek horror game. To "Benny Hill twilight zone"- scooby-do chase game. I know I will get some snide comment in the chat about "get gud noob" and all that. But really.... Do we need a billion X-ray circumstantial-oriented LOCATOR perks-abilities in this game, including several killers that have this ability built in? Whatever happened to hiding skills in this game? Just give us unlimited X-ray ability for the game so we can be done, and not have a broken game anymore.
examples: Oni gets these blood orbs, Legion gets some magical stalking perk that once they strike a player they see everyone else. Killers select BBQ and expect us to live in lockers.. Whatever happened to this good old fashion game of hide and peek while the killer seeks u out for blood!!
I've played some twisted horror game titles and originally loved playing this on my buddy's computer and then actually playing it back in year 1. This game was freakin awesome.
-------- ----
X-ray PERK: See all players on the map, at all times. See killer, your fellow survivors, location of the generators, hatch, hexes, vaults, windows, player health bars, etc (yes I know there is "no-no" software out there. But with all the cheese perks we have today in this game... WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?! ;-P.
....or better yet. Give our survivors the add-on called "CYANIDE PILL" so when we get slugged, our survivor can take a fast-acting, military grade substance that kills off our character, so we can be on with the next match. I mean after all. The hatch gets closed, and that was the only "saving grace" for having potato team-mates. Oh and we are to be BANNED if we click disconnect.
I really hope BHVR has a new game coming out where it is about actual horror again and not a game about tracking collars tied to the survivor's ankles. jeeeze. This really doesn't feel like Dead By daylight anymore... ANyway. im going to log out of this thread, since there are fans of the game that are expected to rage at me. (But aren't we all?) that will disagree here. and it will always be the same "Get gud noob, and learn to play better" - Real mature, amiright?
Peace yo!

This game has a fundamental problem: horror for survivors is going up against a scary strong killer and having to hide to stay alive. That's horror.
Most horror games have a weak protagonist going up against strong scary monsters they need to hide against, but those monsters are AI so it gets predictable and boring after a couple playthroughs. So, along comes this game, to provide a new different experience each time by having real people play the monsters.
The problem, however, is that for killers, playing hide-and-seek and struggling to find survivors is rarely fun. No one's going to keep playing a game where they spend most of the match looking in empty dark corners of a map. So, now there are all these tracking perks to help killers find survivors, so killers aren't bored, but since it's easy to find survivors the killers can't be too strong, either.
Trying to make a game that's fun for both sides is kind of making a game that's fun for neither side. If you want killers to play a hide-and-seek game, the devs would have to find a way to make it rewarding enough for them to keep coming back, possibly by paying killer players actual money. Or by giving killers the ability to do real damage, like cutting off a survivor's arm before the survivor runs off to hide again, putting in interesting visuals for players to work towards, because just sticking a survivor on a hook isn't exactly interesting. We'll never get gore or anything, though, because it'd get the game banned in some countries.
Maybe BHVR would be better off trying to make evolving AI so that survivors can play a hide-and-seek horror game against a terrifying killer while killers get to hack, slash, and torture I'm-an-idiot-out-of-a-slasher-movie evolving AI survivors. That's not gonna happen, though.
