Any tips for trying to open the gates during the EGC against a high mobility killer like Billy or oni?

    If it's the Oni and he already has his power active, waiting until it runs out will make escape easier, especially if you're not injured.

    This is the best strategy I've come up with, assuming the killer is actively patrolling gates:

    If they're not near the gate you're at, go and start opening it, but stop right before the progress bar hits 25%, as this is when the first red light turns on to indicate progress on the gate. Then, hide and wait for the killer to check that gate. The gate will appear not to have been worked on, so once they leave again, open the gate the rest of the way. This way, you maximise the window in which you can open the gate and escape.

    Another strategy for when the gates are close together, which I've considered but never tried myself (so I don't know how viable it is in practice), is to open one gate until the red light turns on, then stealth to the other gate and open it. It's risky, but the idea is that the killer will waste enough time searching around the first gate, assuming you're hiding in that area, for you to open the other gate and escape.

    If you're talking about when the killer has closed the hatch and you're the last one alive, just go find a hook and accept death.

    Sadly, there's nothing you can do against anyone with an IQ higher than 3 at that point.

    Well I could answer both:

    EGC gate problem: your screwed but bring a key or time the gate ( open it by 20% before the first light turns on then finish it when he leaves).

    Normal game:

    • Don’t trust the ones that are closest ( you never know what they might bring to your gen)
    • Keep tabs on the killer using perks
    • In case of immediate or imminent failure DC
    • Bring a key and left behind for a better solo build
    • In the event you come across an ebony mori remember! DC
    • Bring a medkit( This lowers your dependency)
    • Stealth is more powerful than you think!
    • In the event your found by the killer try to lead them to a generator full of distractions!
    • Equip spine chill so you can leave the party early before thing get real
    • Remember what the killers running!( if you remember that the killer had spirit fury or a certain perk then adjust your playstyle)
    • Leave first save later, If you can escape just go
