  • Back before the rework, I used to main Freddy. I would get a mix of messages ranging from "haha noob, get gud X3 XD LOL HAHA OWO" to "######### YOU CAMPING TUNNELING ######### LOSER!" And I was actually good as pre-rework Freddy. You can't get respect playing as low tiers, it's ethier you get bullied, or get cussed out.

  • Ash, or Clown. Clown + Freddy would be the best duo ever.

  • People disconnect when I beat them as clown. It gets really annoying, because they think they are going to win due to me playing "the worst killer" so they try to bully me, and then cry when they find out that a have even half a brain cell. It gets to a point where it stops being funny.

  • If no one left threads like this, the devs would think they are doing a good job. They are not, I've uninstalled at least 3 times last year, only coming back because my friends wanted me to.

Do as I did. Learn Nurse ------> get destroyed ------> get adept in your new rank.

I'm a rank 20 killer. Not because I suck, but because I don't play too much. It's really annoying how ranking works. I can't play on most days, and when I do, I'm lucky to rank up once. Even when I do, the max I get is rank 16, and then the game just demotes me, because it took a month to get there.

I seriously believe they need to change the adept achievements for killers. Some of the killers it's basically impossible to do. It should be "Sacrifice 4 survivors with X using only their teachable perks" (I believe this was the way the ranking system worked before where you double pipped if you 4Ked but that's changed and the achievements should reflect that). This would be a fun but challenging experience instead of an almost impossible chore.

Don't even get me started on clown. With the right addons and perks he is good. But only his perks is a death wish. I only end up playing toxic ######### whenever I attempt it, and when I get close, it's a disconnect.

  • It was never good in the first place. I just worked through them, and destroyed the totem. It really just put trash survivors in their place. It's like baby killers first gen perk. There are so many better ones.

  • Bruh. People are saying it's op. Just play as clown.

-This post was made by clown gang

  • I think he is perfect. You just need a mastermind brain to play him, kinda like trapper. Basically predict the future, and then block their paths, because if they are stupid enough to go through it, they slow down. He's not bad, but not top tier. I'm a clown main btw, so I know it works. But if he were to get an add-on that makes intoxicated survivors exposed, he would be really good.

If you really want them to hate you, use Thana, Sloppy, Dying Light, Ruin. The game will go so slow for them once you start injuring them and getting hooks they will most likely end up in a downward spiral of constantly healing each other and never doing gens.

The problem with totems is that they can be taken out. If your friends have even mildly decent communication they can destroy all the totems and you are left with nothing. If they are clever enough they would just hide after they get Haunted. And the fact you only have 4 lit totems kind of gives away that you have NOED, so they could pick up on this.

The build above requires a bit more effort on your part to get rolling, but it way more reliable in terms of slowing the game. Once that snowball starts it is VERY hard to stop.

Though I have to wonder what your friends did to you that you want to do this to them LOL.

They are just so unreliable, and one of the reasons I did totems only is because they never cleanse them. They also do ######### like ANYTHING EXCEPT ######### GENERATORS and then some more. And other mild annoyances.

  • You're not expected to, but I usually do if someone lets me do challenges, or I find a game of friendlies. (You can whack them for points, and mess with them, they will understand) I think in your case though, camping was not the best solution anyway, and you could have been much more of an ass, so you had every right to be a normal killer.

  • I hit a wall one time as huntress, and all I heard was "AAAGH" So yeah, definitely

  • When this used to be in the game, I actually escaped with it, so I agree.

  • Because bigtards won't do anything in the lower ranks. I came back to console, Literally was not used to playing with the low sensitivity, and missed alot, and kept accidentally placing portals in the middle of chases. Would have been a 4k if Bill did not have door perks. Not a single gen was done.

  • As a killer/survivor switch, this is 100% true. Swf definitely provides a challenge, but nothing actually being good at the game can't fix. Plan accordingly. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet. Be fast. Be smart. Even playing as clown, I can beat swf groups, so there is no excuse for not being able to beat swf, but your own skill. Even playing swf, me and my friends survive slot less than you make it out to be.

  • Her base movement speed if I remember correctly was about 3.8 mps, so probably close to 1.9.

I mean, a Tier List is never 100% objective. Like, I would rank Pig quite high, because I get really good results with her, other people would say that she is one of the weakest Killers. But Clown is nowhere near Nurse or Spirit.

Overall, I dont think that Clown is really weak. He got powercreeped by Freddy (Freddy can do the same (Slowdown during Chase), but has the better ability, does not need to recharge his Snares, can teleport), but overall I think that the Maps are the bigger problem for Clown, there is no point in the Gas when the Survivor can drop the Pallet early and be safe.

However, Badham and Hawkins are quite good for Clown, Survivors can drop the Pallet early, but it is not safe. So his Gas does more.

So yeah, I dont think that you are stupid. But I would be very surprised if people would agree that he is compareable to Nurse or Spirit.

I'm glad you actually went into detail about why you think clown is not the greatest, but I think it is less how objectively good a killer is, and more the person playing. Everyone always tries to just land the 1 shot bottle, but I ignore those sorts of add-ons in favor for more bottles, and longer lasting, so I can block exits, to make them move predicably. Everyone seems to think that the killers who have powers good for Chase are better, but imo, it's more fun to use killers that need to outsmart survivors, rather than those who can propel themselves farther.

  • Oh, I was joking around about how everyone seems to disagree. While I wouldn't mind, some people I know would stop playing the game altogether if they get any of that childplay horror stuff, such as horrible creepypasta characters that people like for whatever reason.

How does Selfcare help keep you hidden? If you are saying it takes you out of the action and keeps you immersed, you can do that without selfcare. All you need is to be a selfish player. You don't need a perk for that.

Also how does Self Care rescue other survivors from campers?

I don't follow your though process.

If anything, Self Care is the perk that ENABLES CAMPERS. The reasoning behind that is simple. When a killer camps, the number one way to punish him is to do gens. Survivors who are self-caring while the killer is camping are basically handing the killer a free dead survivor. You waste all the time you should have been doing gens healing yourself. Now the survivor is dead and you have no gens to show for it.

Self Care is the reason campers thrive in this game.

It slumps you over in a position that may keep you more hidden that crouching, depending on the thing you attempt to hide behind. It disables campers and tunnelers, because they will usually hit you to scare you off. With the option to help yourself, you can take a hit for them to get a head start.

  • It's not very effective!

  • My poor boy clown reminds me of the cwc story, so I would say him.

  • This is a joke, right? I run circles around nurses, to the point where I might as well be yelling scout quotes provided they have vc. The real ss tier is clown.

    1. Speak either English, Chinese, Italian, or Russian. Because it's really annoying trying to decode this based off of Google translate being complete ass

    2. Don't go on the forums if you are going to talk #########, this is a place to get answers, not insults.

  • @Mister_xD said:

hooks have a minimum distance of 24m to the next hook, unless we are talking about basement hooks or the game couldnt fit enough hooks on the map.

the point of that is, to prevent situations where a survivor can not get hooked by the killer after being downed, as there are no hooks nearby. if a survivor goes down, they should be hooked, thats how the flow of the game works, so there always needs to be a hook around.

and tbh, i doubt a killer can effectively camp 2 hooks (non basement hooks) at the same time.

They do, because low rank survivors are idiots, and go down so fast, that they just have to sit at a specific angle, and they can camp both at the same time. Also, I mean that they can hold you for so long that there is no need for them to be so close.

  • I hate camping, but had to do it once when the gates were open, and I needed to finish my ritual for a killer I suck as.

  • Killers: O H Y E S

survivors: oh... So basically Micheal with lamp.

"I had a killer body block into a corner not enough to take the game hostage but enough to make a crow appear above my head and make trying to lose him impossible?" "Not enough to take the game hostage."

"Secondly in that same match the second to last survivor had decided they had had enough and lead the killer to where i was downed to force the game to end denying me a chance to crawl away to find the hatch?" They were downed which means they will bleed out aka not hostage taking

He let the negotiator go, meaning that they sent a massage, agreeing to a deal, or were friends beforehand, which can both be bannable offenses.

In both instances. The first is holding the game hostage, which is bannable. In the second, it sounds like another survivor was working with the killer. Also bannable. File a support ticket here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us

    Exactly what he said.

  • Definitely

  • My friend always runs obsession perks anyway, so it probably won't work.

  • Idk, it's already enough of a stretch that ghost face, and legion could kill ash, definitely not some children. Also I could see a lot of glitches in this, like being able to have two killers that are not the twins. Maybe being able to swap, and command them. But also, think how fun it would be to get double slashed for the survivors. But, address these issues, and I could see it working.

  • In low ranks, I can't trust others to not mess up, and it can kinda keep you hidden, if the killer is not listening. And I can't reliably find medkits, and it works great for rescuing survivors from campers.

  • @Ksoni said:

Borrowed time and ds, that's all you can do against camping/tunneling. Also flashlight saves are very good option too, if you know the timing and if killer is stupid enough, to not look at the wall when pickuping the survivor

I don't own Laurie, because she is ugly, lol.

  • To be fair, you are wiggling pretty slow. Also, use flip or flop, tenacity, and unbreakable if you want to piss off a lot of killers.

  • You do realize that the killer can just camp you out of that gen when you are the last survivor, right? It seems very balanced, and a risk reward sort of thing, like no mither, or Ace's perks.

  • @WaffleFalafel said:

We already have our cop, so they might just want some variety. Same reason Jonathon isn't here: too close to Quentin. I will admit though, Hopper would have some good quotes for his perks.

We also already had a hillbilly, but leather face was added. Legion was inspired by ghost face. And probably a few other things I'm missing. I just think it is kinda dumb that we got someone that is not really known for being good at anything.

  • Either at release, or the buff after release, yes.

  • I think something to do with the mind flayer would be cool, or at least make the upsidedown a place where you can't help other survivors unless they are there too. People have to find portals to get in, or escape, but the Demogorgon can drag you in. Maybe he can have the option to use that alien nest looking thing to kill them.

  • I would buy it if you like the character, personally, I have saved the characters I like for last, so I can get everyone else's perks for said character. But Ash's flip flop, and mettle of man perks are very underated, and can save your ass. So in short, all of the dlc's are worth it. Except for Laurie and Quinton, they look ugly as #########, are loud as all hell, and have pretty bad perks. Just buy the killers alone.
