  • He doesn't need a chase buff. Watch some top performing deathslingers, especially in comp games. They're able to track and land spears pretty often, it's really not a hit or miss ability.

  • Noticed this as well, wondered what felt different. Surprised how this issue keeps persisting.

  • hatch should never be removed, in fact the idea that one survivor has a chance for a free escape should remain in the game.

When the game goes south for the survs, it provides them with an objective that everyone can try for but only 1 receives the benefits of

  • i think she's kinda okay but its hard to deal with everyone insta-grabbing tapes

  • Seconded, this is still an issue after hotfix 7.1.2a.

Not according to any patch notes or even the description of the power. The power is obviously bugged currently.

check the dev update right before the patch. It's obvious that the patch notes didnt reflect this change.

i feel the first one wouldn't have been nearly that covered/unnoticeable if it weren't for the GoJ ambience fog, but yeah that second lean is a bit much, i wish it was shown on a different tile than the corner of shack though as normally you're in a chase if you're leaning around shack corner like this with very few exceptions, cosmetics and map definitely matter though, the black and red on coldwind sticks out like a sore thumb for obvious reasons. idk how weird stuff like this even happens. tasty spaghetti code.

Those photos arent that descriptive, my follow up shows the issue much better.

  • I want to add more to this since my thread got shut down due to duplicate,

    Survivor POV of stalk:

    Killer POV:

    image.png

Ghostface's model pops out even more when I can actually stalk the player. This makes lean stalking impossible to do without being easily seen and this greatly hurts the killers potential to stalk in most areas. This also prevents the ability to manipulate the stalk circle which was important to good ghostface players. Please fix/revert if it was intended.

  • Hope they fix it soon, ghostface is pretty unplayable for me right now, can't even lean without being noticed.

  • The change requiring LoS for the perk to activate is intended. It was also unfairly strong against stealth killers (no ability for counterplay on their end).

  • I completely agree with OP; yes people think it's weak because it tends to be associated with newer players who tend to hide often, but it can be devastating in skilled hands. What's more, it just feels very unfun to play against, forcing us into disadvantageous m1 chases, where we can be countered with a simple bodyblock rather than setting up skillful ambushes as intended. Speaking as a ghostface main with two thousand hours as well.

    This is correct.

But it's balanced. The counterplay is to approach the gen from an unlikely angle. Survivors trying to sneak away will often run into you. The perk is just a generic alert. It doesn't tell them if the killer is actually coming for them nor where from. Survivors need to make judgment calls every time or they'll waste a lot of time.

And tbf, it's not even worth playing around it in the first place. The perk is just not commonly used anymore.

But that's not true, survivors can just run towards a pallet even if they can't directly tell your direction. And with the new gen indicators it's not hard to tell if no one else is being chased, and that they are the target. It doesn't matter if it's not used often, it still is too strong against stealth killers, even if players don't really prioritize that ability.

How often do you genuinely see spine chill? It’s purpose is to know when the killer is looking at you through walls so you can make a play before they get there.

If they already see you then the perk is useless

That's not true, it'll light up  anytime the killer is within 36m, stealth or not.

  • @HugTheHag said:

Spine Chill is a TR indicator. If the killer has no TR, then the perk doesn't show the distance. It also no longer lights up if the killer approaches without direct line of sight to the survivor.

So stealth plays are still very much possible.

Plus, if 1 perk out of more than 100 counters one specific kind of play, it wouldn't even be that unfair. You don't know who you're going against, so that's a blind choice you're making.

Plague hard counters medkits and altruistic heals, a whole part of survivor gameplay, and that regretfully doesn't mean she should get nerfed.

Since when? spine chill will light up anytime the killer is within 36m, stealth or not.

It counters stealth killers entirely, not just a particular style of play.

  • I was hiding from a ghostface player and he spotted me, he told me afterwards that he was able to stalk me through objects as well. Please fix!
