It is not a licensed killer, and you can tell from the queue times alone that he’s played far less compared to Jason or even Springtrap, for example. But I think that’s generally the case with unlicensed killers. I still remember when Springtrap was released—the wait times were insanely long if you wanted to play as killer. With the Krasue or The Unknown, the wait times were fairly normal.
I bought the new killer for the perks, but overall I find him uninteresting, and the whole background story doesn't appeal to me at all. To me, this killer just doesn't fit Dead by Daylight. Plus, since he’s pretty difficult for console players, I won't be playing him anytime soon. I’m not sure exactly how many people play on console, but that could also be a reason why you don't encounter him that often.

Perhaps it would be helpful to introduce a beginner mode. This could include easy‑to‑play killers equipped with the four most beginner‑friendly or commonly used meta perks — and the same for survivors. These perks shouldn’t require unlocking. Additionally, each character could have a short bio explaining their four perks. For both survivors and killers, the game could also provide a brief explanation of their core mechanics. Something simple that helps new players avoid feeling overwhelmed and gives them a clear understanding: “Ah, that’s how I’m supposed to play this.”

This topic comes up repeatedly, and unfortunately BHVR has not addressed the criticism so far. It is true that matches involving players from certain regions—such as Russia—can often lead to negative experiences due to high ping. For quite some time, I’ve been avoiding lobbies with Cyrillic names or clearly Eastern European usernames, as the connection issues can be quite severe. At some point, it simply becomes too frustrating, so I prefer not to join those lobbies anymore.

I played as scout and just kept running after the killer. It went really fast, and I completed the quest after just one match. I’m not entirely sure if this also works in 1v4. There used to be a small trick with the Twins: just place Victor somewhere and you can see his aura permanently. After a short time, the quest was done.

I mean, it always comes down to playtime and how much fun you have with a killer in order to really learn them and be successful. I like the Onryo because she’s the one I’ve played the most and I’m very comfortable with her playstyle. In general, I like killers who can teleport to a fixed location. Onryo, Hag, Unknown, Dredge, Demogorgon — they just fit my playstyle and are the most fun for me
