Ash smoking weed and getting high is what sets of the events of Ash vs Evil Dead, if that means anything.

I’m very very disappointed in these. These read like a high schooler from reddit wrote them.
I wonder if Netflix limited how much they could say in the bios or something, because we know they can write detailed backstories even for licensed characters like Freddy and Ash.

Hellraiser
Resident Evil
COD Zombies
Honorable mention: Sydney from Scream

I’d like to see some character POVs. How’s Dwight’s self confidence in the face of being the “leader?” Would Nea rather be in the US than in the Entity’s realm? Does Bill ponder the fate of Zoey, Louis and Francis a lot? Is Feng frustrated by the language barrier?
Adding to that, I’d like to see character interactions, or at least some characters thoughts on other characters (or at the very least the return of the Baker quotes). Do Kate and Jeff ever talk music? Do Claudette and Jake swap survivalist tips? Do Bill and Tapp swap war stories? Do the teens like Laurie, Quentin, Steve and Nancy ever discuss school?
Heck bring it to killers as well. How does Freddy feel about being subservient? Do the Legion get to see each other? Do any of the killers feel any regret? Do any of them let survivors escape purposefully, like the Pig?
Thats the kinda stuff I’d like to see.

In that case, it could be nice to have a "waking up" animation for all survivors when the map reveal sequence occurs at the start of the match.
It’d be a lot of work but it’d be cool if each survivor had a unique animation too, though they’d have to be fast. Ash checks his hand, Bill lights his cig, Meg stretches her legs, Quentin pinches himself to see if he’s awake, Nea pounces up quickly and nimbly, etc.

New map is very asymmetrical and vertical, which I love. I can see myself getting lost in it a bunch and I love that. Plus, BHVR has teased that the map has Upside Down features to replace Entity effects. Ala, exit zones and EGC.
Ooh that’ll be really cool if that’s true. It also makes me wonder if we ever get a Hellraiser map (The Labyrinth?) if we’ll get cenobite/Leviathan themed effects too.

I’ll forever be holding out hope for Pinhead.

I’ve had this same thought since the Archives were announced. I have a sneaking suspicion that the licensed characters won’t have any content in there. However, I think they’ve made it clear that the licensed characters are canon, so hopefully they’ll put in the effort (if they’re allowed to) to give them something in there.

I imagine Kate and Jeff would discuss music together
Some of the “leader” characters like Dwight, Jane and maybe Adam probably spend their time hyping people up or calming some of the more nervous survivors, like Laurie or Claudette, down. Kate and maybe Jeff would come into this as well
Especially empathetic survivors like Claudette or Quinton spend their time tending to the wounded (if you can be wounded at the campfire? You can escape when injured but that isn’t reflected at the end title card) and just generally taking care of people.
The vets like Ash, Tapp and Bill have been around the block before. You can see this in their campfire animations where they’re all calm, if maybe a bit weary. I could see them discussing strategies and survival tactics.
Ash would also try to hit on the ladies, but would end up rejected as often as Ace. Possible rivalry?
You bring up a good point about a language barrier, I think Feng would be the only survivor who wouldn’t definitely speak English. It’s possible she learned some through her online interactions, but that could be another reason for her being a loner aside from her naturally solitary nature. There are other loners though, like Nea or Jake. Maybe they stick together.

BBQ has been pretty funky for me today too. It seems like I can only see half their aura, if I can see it at all.
-
Something to note is that the Legion aren’t mutilated like some of the other killers, meaning they were willing to go along with the Entity. Obviously we don’t know quite how the Entity works but maybe it rewards them for their compliance by letting them reconvene

Like you said, the obvious answer is gameplay, although I wish they’d tried their hand at it.
Lore wise... maybe they were too efficient as a team? I imagine 4 of them could decimate a survivor pretty quickly and that might lead to less hope for the Entity. That’s all I can I think of.
What gets me is Legion’s reveal trailer, where Frank and David’s are running together from something, presumably a Legion member. Maybe canonically the Legion do work as a team and we just don’t see it in gameplay?
