This perk is the bane of solo-q survivors you are incapacitated for 25secs and the perk itself has a 30 second cooldown. Also you can proc it by downing someone by any means. The cool down is so short that by the time you down someone hook them and get to a gen it’s ready for to go.

i feel the cooldown needs to be longer or the incapacitated needs to be shorter

And even as killer this perk has won me games that I should not have because I held a 3 gen with eruption and SH:Pain Res as my only slow downs

and those games can go on for long time especially if the survivors have Boon:Circle Of Healing

Eruption is strong but it's not overturned, y'all just want every killer perks to be bad and every survivor perk to be overpowered, if your teammates don't go down constantly then Eruption doesn't get much value and it's easily countered by SWF.

If you just want to gen-rush then open the gate to escape after a 5 minutes match you can just say that, killers need good gen slow-down perks because killer players cannot rush hook states, maybe you should get better at gen-rushing or bring toolboxes, stop crying because it isn't a cakewalk for you.

  • Make it work with any stun, it would pair quite well with the badly nerfed Decisive Strike

DS is a shell of what it was and OtR outshines it in every possible way. The stun sucks and even if you land it it won't work again and you'll still get caught. Tbh there's no reason for it to not work twice.

I'm a killer main and even I believe it would be reasonable for Decisive Strike to work after both unhooks, it should also be reverted back to 5 seconds, the only nerf that should stay is DS not working when the Exit Gates are powered.

I feel like matchmaking in general has a lot of problems.

Yeah, it's really bad and we can't even see our MMR

  • I played my first match as the Pig yesterday and realized that survivors can escape with the Reverse Bear Trap on their heads, that makes perfect sense. Clearly the Pig is too strong and needs more nerfs.

  • I prefer this new Bloodpoint Grind, it's less frustrating to prestige the characters and unlock the perks for the others.

When it comes to the items, I think they should just make the iridescent and purple items or add-ons a bit more rare but not like impossible to get.

I was always scared to use Bloodpoints before and carefully used them to unlock specific perks, I got burned out from grinding and not getting enough bloodpoints so I mainly played during Bloodhunts, it's much better now.

  • I hope we get actual outfits and not just 400K Bloodpoints again, I subscribe to Prime to get cool costumes and not a handful of Bloodpoints.

  • Tunneling is why I wish Decisive Strike wasn't nerfed so hard, a lot of killer players will tunnel because they want to kill the survivor player faster but it makes survivors miserable or just give up when they just got off the hook only to be chased and hooked again before they can get away and heal up.

Basekit Borrowed Time and Off The Records do help but some killer players will just wait them out or keep chase until the survivor runs out of pallets. I think tunneling Killers should get a penalty for chasing a survivor that was just unhooked within 60 seconds or something.

Wait, are the candy weapons here to stay after the event???

I think they're only gonna be available during the Halloween Event, hopefully they come back in future events for the players who miss them.

If I wanted to Rework Victor different; I would add additional debuffs to Victor most Incapacitated status effect like... losing the ability to interact with any pallets or vault locations; when a Survivor has Victor on that Survivor back. It would make Twin's a deadly anti chase killer, as well as adding a hindrance speed debuff to make holding w a weak strategy.

Injured Survivors whon get attack by Victor, will instead be pounce down to thw ground and be actively mauled by Victor. Imagine the down Survivor doing a Unique animation of which Victor is on top of them and holding them in place. This animation makes it it impossible to do any Recovery progress, ans it forced the Survivor to fight back and do a series of skill check to kick Victor off; or get a nearby teammate to come assist them and kick Victor off for down teammate. The Down Survivor's aura is reveal to the Charlotte, and any nearby Survivors will be detected through killer Instinct, too. It would allow Charlotte to punished Aultristic Survivors, and also allow her to pick up Survivors with victor on them; without being Aultristic saved by pallets or flashlight. (A unique buff, in which Victor will be able to prevent any guarantee saving plays; just by being stuck by Victor.)

I think The Twins would be actually scary if survivors couldn't drop pallets or vault windows while Victor is on their backs, it could actually give Charlotte a lot of anti-loop potential if she catches up to them.

I can't stop laughing about the idea of Victor pouncing survivors to the ground and biting them, that animation would probably be hilarious, but I don't think it should last long and the nearby survivors triggering Killer Instinct would be too much information for Charlotte.

Mangled does not do anything to your screen. You are likely thinking of Deep Wounds.

Doctor's Shock Therapy doesn't inflict incapacitated and is it's own thing.

Yes, I meant Deep Wound. I tend to mix up the statuses, even the Emblems, I'm embarrassed and sorry.

I believe the Twins are up next for the mid chapter PTB, so hopefully we get some good stuff.

Regarding your post though, Charlotte can recall Victor after 30 seconds, so the only reason a survivor has Victor for 2 minutes is if the killer choose not to recall him. Which can be a tactic to use at times, as that survivor is not doing gens or anything useful for a long time.

That killer player must have been new because there was no good reason for them to try and catch the survivor on such a strong loop. I completely forgot that BEhaviour gave Charlotte the ability tor recall back Victor in a patch update, I haven't played the Twins much or seen my favorite streamers play much of them XD

  • @Crowman said:

Survivors are incapacitated while victor is on them. Incapacitated doesn't prevent throwing pallets or vaulting. Honestly it would be awful if the status did that. If someone is holding victor hostage you can just ignore them (or take victor back).

Also don't know why change from Broken to Mangled when Broken means they will always be 1 shot while holding victory.

I almost forgot that Charlotte got the buff where she can recall Victor, that Twin player must have been new and didn't know, I still think Mangled would be better than Broken since it does gradually reduce how much you can see on the screen. I thought Incapacitated meant unable to vault or drop pallets like Doctor's Shock Therapy.

  • I think Decisive Strike getting nerfed to 3 seconds really increased tunneling, survivors have a 2 second drop animation and can't make much distance or run to safety before a tunneling killer recovers from that 3 second stun.

I was okay with all the previous nerfs and even Decisive Strike being deactivated after the gates are open but I'm not happy with it being only a 3 second stun now. I don't use Decisive Strike as a survivor anymore but when I play killer, I have a high chance of downing the survivor who just used DS on me again.

I can tell BEhaviour wants killers to be stronger now but the game shouldn't reward tunneling and camping killers.

  • Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance was nerfed enough already, the scream notification was removed and it's still only 4 random hooks. Y'all just don't want killers to have any strong gen regression perks while y'all complete gens in 40 seconds with strong toolboxes and perks.

  • @supersonic853 said:

Id just bump the range to 10 meters, maybe mess with the time to like 40 seconds. But thats it.

I was thinking the same thing, Reassurance being only usable at 6 meters range is ridiculous, the rescuer is very likely to get hit by a killer who is camping the hooked survivor, it should have been at least a 10 meter range to activate

  • The only 3 perks I would agree could be base kit or side perks are: Deerstalker, Whispers and Shattered Hopes but 5 perk slots would make killers too strong and some killers unbeatable. DBD is not really balanced but builds being limited to 4 perks is what makes it somewhat balanced. I can make a gen regression build or a utility build or a meme build.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually enjoy playing Dead By Daylight ever since update 6.1.0 released. My biggest gripe with the game was how bad the progression system was, it was a nightmare to grind and get the specific perks I needed on each character without having to spend hundreds of hours leveling up each character. Now it feels much better to Prestige 3 the characters I want to unlock perks for and I don't have to sacrifice all my perks and add-ons each time I prestige, it actually feels rewarding to Prestige now.

I have been playing everyday ever since the update released, I've had DBD since the Stranger Things Chapter and I've NEVER played the game this consistently, I would spend months without playing because I got so frustrated with the progression and the unbalanced state of DBD.

The devs don't take ages to address bugs or balance issues now, I don't know if it's because there is meaningful competition now or the devs really want to make the game a better experience for it's players, I'm just so content with the game that I got the season pass for the first time and bought all the chapters I didn't already have.

The devs now actively listen to the players and are making mostly great changes. I like that Dead Hard isn't a "get out of jail free card" anymore but I don't think the Decisive Strike nerf from 5 to 3 second was reasonable. Nerf to killer perks like Dead Man's Switch because of Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance was fair (Scourge Hooks need to be increased to 5/6 on big maps or have 1 spawn in each corner of the maps). I don't think Call Of Brine should alert killers everytime survivors succeed a Good Skillcheck (maybe just the first one). I like that killers are not rewarded for camping or tunneling now but getting -2 in Gatekeeper for being around the hook for just 5 seconds is a bit much.

Some maps are still a nightmares for killers and some for survivors but I'm glad that maps like RPD are made smaller now and I'm not getting Coldwind Farm 5 times in a row. I think a lot of maps need to be reworked and made more fun and fair for both sides.

DBD still has a long way to go to fix all the issues and really be the best game in it's genre but I'm more optimistic now than I never was. Now I just want the devs to let us practice some killers/survivors/perks in the Custom Games. I know the devs are reluctant to put bots in the game because of hackers but I really want new players to practice and not constantly get wrecked by experienced players in actual matches. I also want to try killers like Nurse or Huntress on bots as target practice.

Bloodpoint somewhat have more value now that we can set specific goals towards progression, I grinded killer to Iridescent 2 and Survivor to Gold 4, and now I got a lot of bloodpoints to prestige the character I want to unlock their perks for all the others, I still wish we got at least 1000 Iridescent Shards for reaching Irisdescent 1 though, I'll keep dreaming.

I meant -2 in Chaser, not Gatekeeper but yeah, sometimes the hooked survivor is right on top of a Pallet or a Generator that I have to break or kick, if I stay too close for just 5 seconds to break them then I get a -1 or -2 depip and only get 1 instead of 2 pips at the end of the match, so I have to get away quickly after hooking a survivor. I almost never camp or tunnel because I'm good enough to consistently get 4Ks and double pip.

I've also been playing a lot of Wesker lately after the fix and he joined the Artist, Pyramid Head and Hag as one of my best and favorite killers to play and destroy survivors with.
