imo all they need to do is separate characters from iri shards - make a new currency where you buy characters but it takes the same current time it does to get that new currency so it won't be easier to get characters - and makes easier to get iri shards for cosmetics.
or they could just do the easier way more shards in the rift quests and the levels itself. and they could increase BP as well in the quests/rifts
there's a game i play that gives you 1500 credits in their battle pass (enough to buy a free skin) - so that'd be nice for dbd as well
-
bait used to be believable
-
The only thing I dislike about it is the deadzones you created in one side of the map after the changes you made to the map.
The rest is totally fine.
-
I was looking forward for the next update since I enjoyed the original Sadako way more than the current even if it's easier to condemn now. The PTB I didn't have time to play as - but seemed fun to play. But looking at the DEV Update, it looks like they literally ruined her, I do not want to play as this Sadako, all I ever wanted was a chasing power.
-
I have close to 30K+ hatches thrown and my biggest issue is with big maps like Badham or Lerys (cause it's hard to protect gens and it's boring for playing with antigens perks IMO, it's kinda sad for losing because of map design, not because you didn't outplay others in chase but that's just DBD in the end of the day).
The only thing I would do is buff/rework some addons to make a larger variety of addons, and make two addons basekit (Bandaged Haft and Shiny Pin), other addons would need to have number tweaks/reworks.
There should be fun addons applying Broken or Oblivious (even if it's like 20s) effects, I usually only play +hatchets and Oak Haft, hardly think the rest are fun to bring except two which is Iri Head + Wooden fox combo for indoor maps.
-
I agree.
I enjoy playing various survivors and a few killers are enjoyable for me, the rest are not as fun, but I end up level'ing up them since I like to have them at P9.
I have about 700+ Anniversary Cakes on both Dredge and Singularity but I do not enjoy playing them and I would love to use them while playing Huntress or other killer.
-
I agree. As a David main, I'd love the Wave Runner skin, this is the only skin I'm missing. The other piece I'd also love to have is the Dwight's Pizza Hoodie.
-
Do BHVR really know what they are saying?
- 98% or more charms are exclusive, they do not have a store for charms.
- They said they aren't bringing cosmetics from Rifts that are not Purple or higher rarity. (which means any piece recolor from the very first rifts or green outfit or below will never come back to the store, so look... I'm definitely missing out on David's Wave Runner since I didn't play DBD during that time).
- Deep Outfits are exclusive, and I'm pretty sure they don't want to bring these back.
- They took off event specific cosmetics from the store so they can make profit of it making them limited and look: these outfits do not even have a "period time" when looking at the store, so if someone has no idea of when it leaves if they don't read a patch notes or so, they will miss it out.
Is it because those are free and they are lazy to do it since they won't profit off a P100 or any higher than P9 rewards?
-
Small changes I think Xenomorph needs:
• Better Visual and Sound for Tail Attacks on Survivor Side.
• More punishment for missing M2s (a good example is Demogorgon).
• Let Survivor run with and place the Turrent wherever they want. But makes it take a little longer than currently and punish them for it, a downside effect while carrying it, can be Hindered basekit like Wesker's Infection (similar Pinhead mechanic). Addons can apply Exhaust, Blindness, etc.
• Make Crawling Mode a power you should earn for playing well (like it is for Oni), teleport will increase it by a small % to get it while getting M1s will increase a really good amount (basekit). Add-ons make it faster to get the power.
Those are changes I think that would make it even more enjoyable to play as and against perhaps. That's my opinion and my suggestions, you are all free to disagree.
-
Here things I would enjoy as reward personally:
• A Charm (with Survivor and Killer variations);
• Special effects on your IGN when choosing the P100 Character in the Lobby;
• Skins (but that depends on licenses so it'd be only available for og characters at first) - could be an entire skin like the prestige one, a shirt similar to Twitch Shirts, a prestiged crown (not like old anniversary ones, one that's actually in their head), or even a prestiged glasses (like the one Adam recently got)
• Store skins could be discounted by X% for the P100 character but it does not stack with promotional ones.
• Increase XP/BP when playing that character.
and the list goes on... it would make people try go for P100, the only good thing is showing it off and the infinite level 50 bloodweb

Just happened to me. It was a pinhead on the mother's dewlling map.
-
BTW this happened on Toba Landing.
-
I still use DS, but the problem of it is how bad it is against strong killers - and it only works if you are downed in a safe place so somewhat it depends of map RNG.
It has a "difficult" skill check that rewards you a little if you 1. are downed in a safe place 2. gets a few seconds more for your teammates to finish a gen.
Overall the perk is fine, but it needs small buffs - increases stun time (4s or 5s would be the ideal) or/and increase the duration of it for 80s (so it can be used with or without OTR).
These are the only things I would give to DS, that would make the perk totally fine since it's one-time usage and deactivate if you are doing some progress in game.

I didn’t mean you, I used pronoun you just to describe my thoughts. You can replace every “you” with “me” and “I”, it won’t change much. Sorry if it wasn’t clear.
That doesn't change much cause OTR and the "new" DH are very counterable since you can just hit them right after they are unhooked.
These perks should work like they are meant to - not that they are bad right now tbh, but it should be better. I'm not saying for it work like how it was in 6.1 PTB where you could stack all Endurance at once.

Isn’t it better that you can combine different perks for the same purpose? So, you want to prevent tunneling and use your DH, then OTR is not the best option and it’s better to run DS. You are bad at timing DH? You can run OTR with any other exhaustion perk. And there’s always OTR + DS + any exhaustion combo for you. And let’s be honest, OTR, DS, DH are powerful on their own since this is second chance perks, and OTR + DS + DH is insane combo when killer tunnels you, it doesn’t need a buff. You already win huge amount of time with this build, be glad killer chose to tunnel you because now with those perks you will win the match for your teammates.
This change suggestion isn't really for me but of course it would benefit me somehow.
I know how to time DH, and that's really bold of you to think I win most of my matches when I'm mostly a soloq player since being in a team means you're not only dependent of you (as it is for playing killer, that also does not mean I'm saying it is easier to play killer but I hope you get what I mean).
I think this change would benefit other players that do not have DS (and honestly that perk is more dependent of where you get downed and it is paid as well unlike OTR) and since it is now an anti-tunneling perk it would benefit in other combinations.

Well if you want to be very safe Otr is good but for me it's not needed as when I used both ds and otr I had to let killer down me to use ds. So I think ds and dh is enough to counter tunneling taking 2 perk slots and dh still works even if you're not tunneled. But sometimes the ds stun is not enough and I have to use dh almost immediatelly so I think it could be longer eapecially agains't fast killers. I always try to run to shack or other safe loop to get best value from it.
I mean my idea is just to make DH and OTR to work since OTR is very counterable imo. I like being very safe but that's me and this change would make it a good very anti-tunneling combo (another option rather DS and DH or DS and OTR) since people are making DH an anti-tunneling perk. I think other people should have other combos rather than one with a paid DLC perk (which is mostly used in a high level MMR).

Personally I use ds to get rid of the deep wound and use dh after that. Very good antitunneling combo.
I do that as well, my favorite build is DS, DH, OTR and Adrenaline. Before 6.1, it was IW instead of OTR and sometimes I switched the 4th perk between Unbreakable and Adrenaline.
But this change I'm suggesting is more a QoL for other players, and DS needs to be well used in a safe place otherwise it won't do much to be honest. I wish it was kinda buffed, it is also a paid DLC perk so i do not think it is a good idea of forcing people using 3 antitunnel perks (one being paid) just for the idea of surviving.

I think DH should not give Endurance anymore and should give an protection like Mettle of Man since it is now limited to two usages per match but that's my opinion.
If you are tunneling still after hitting the survivor's Off The Record - deal with it. This is the only change I'd like in the future DH since Sprint Burst (and other exhaustion perks) is way more consistent and unlimited.

Do you have conclusive evidence to prove they are overpowered?
I am not saying they are overpowered to be honest, just really strong that gives you what you should be not getting (and he does not need it really imo). C33 and Alc Ring are the OP ones, and I do not need to prove anything really. If you are fine with getting hit value from these addons, maybe you're fine with DH, I suppose.

Yes, that’s what add-ons do. They help you do something you already can do better (faster recharge rate, more charges, etc), or allow you to do some new ability that wasn’t present by default (starting the game in Nightfall, Styptic Vial giving on-demand Endurance, etc). Since Blighted Crow and Rat give a very helpful addition, they are strong. This does not make them overpowered. The counterplay while already at a tile is still the same. You play around him by predicting what he’ll do and removing yourself out of that path.
Blight does not need these kind of add-ons, that is the point of it. All you mentioned does not make you get a hit so easily, starting on Nightfall does not give you a free hit (unless the survivor is not paying very much attention) or faster recharge rate like the ones Spirit has. The fact you have recharge addons with Spirit is not guaranteed that you will get a hit (but maybe the movement speed ones but not as frequent than Blight cause she's already 4.4).

@Komorebi said:
The two issues are unrelated.
Billy’s Engravings should not be nerfed at all.
A bad decision to nerf Engravings does not inherently mean something stronger needs a nerf.
Alchemist Ring and Compound 33 for example are overpowered and unhealthy design, so they should be nerfed regardless of Billy’s Engravings being nerfed or not.
But there’s no need or reason to nerf Blighted Crow or Blighted Rat, which are his healthiest add-ons. You are not meant to out-speed Blight in the first place. You counter his power by predictively playing and positioning yourself away from him in hard-to-reach locations or out-reading which direction the Blight player is going to go. They are strong but balanced, unlike Alchemist Ring or Compound 33 which are overpowered and unhealthy.
They are not balanced, they make you get a hit that you were most likely not get. That is the problem of these addons - survivor could make to a pallet or window (and even if they do it perfectly - you will get the hit due to the speed value).
Although I do see more problem with C33 and Alc Ring (which is ridiculous), all of these addons should be either nerfed or completely reworked.
Blight already has a perfect basekit that makes him tier S, no need for OP addons for that kind of killer.

The developer update says "First, healing will now take 24 seconds by default (previously 16 seconds). This will make each hit more impactful, ensuring that Survivors need to spend longer to heal their wounds.
Altruistic healing is being nerfed to make each hit more impactful. That is word for word from the developer update. Some games are 100% altruistic healing, so it's especially important that altruistic healing gets the full healing speed nerf. BHVR is purposely nerfing the gen kick regression perks into the ground, and moving the slowdown to all healing, to encourage killers to go on more chases..... which is what we should all want.
If we want killers to be encouraged to go on chases, then those chases need to be more valuable, and the healing speed nerfs do this. Without the altruistic healing nerf, then the extra motivation to chase survivors won't be there AT ALL in some games, because some games are 100% altruistic healing.
Three survivors healing means no one is popping a gen but a survivor healing theirself means two are popping gens and at least one is in chase, potentially of course.
So currenly it is better for me bring a green medkit and tell the other survivors to do gens, but next update, it won't benefit at all doing neither so in the end people will start rushing gens even more and playing safe harder now than risky so it won't fix the problem of gens being faster but now it will be even more faster and you also know what? people won't be altruistic anymore - people will even more play for themselves (which is soloq it's already like this).
But honestly we will see what happens, I do expect in six months (or less tbh) people from both sides will start complaining again about gens being done really fast and others will say this is the worst meta they've been through.
-
@dbd900bach said:
So the killer perks being nerfed was more of a targeted meta nerf than simply choosing perks with high usage. They were problematic gen regression perks that made three gens much easier to manage. Basically a nerf to the regression meta as a whole.
In conjuction, survivors healing was nerfed heavily and that's without accounting for the healing slow down killers can cause with just their add-ons and with perks. While killers can't rely on hen regression as much to slow the game down, they now have to rely on injuring survivors to slow the game down. Plus chases will be cut in half with survivors being injured more often, and without dead hard they have no second health state.
This is what we wanted. Both good and bad this patch moved both sides into completely different ways of playing the game. More niche perks will see more usage now that killers no longer have to overly rely on gen regression perks, and survivors have to actually try a little to win now that they can't fully heal every 6 seconds after they're hit.
The problem with the regression meta was that they stacked not because of how good they were separately. Call of Brine wasn't even that OP alone but stacking with other perks made it like that.
The healing nerf along with OC/CoB is fine imo, but the altruistic should not be touched and also they made mangled and hemorrhage status even stronger (which are already fine on its own), so we are aiming another yet annoying meta cause it suddenly needs to be changed.
Instead of buffing and reworking M1 killers, buffing totems perks (as well as reworking spawns - also making them high reward but risky), buffing useless perks, nerfing OP addons (hi Blight which remain untouched after all those changes, with a good basekit and best and overpowered addons in the game, hardly a bad one!), keeping the QoL changes (which are really good imo, those map reworks are doing well! I didn't like Red Forest though, it's pretty but awful to play as for me as both sides), they want to rush changes so drastically out of nowhere instead of doing it little by little so they can get feedback and see what works and what doesn't.
These kind of mindset for me is not good or well thought. And I bet if these come live, I can see all the future meta perks being on this actual state as well.
-
I do not think so. They nerfed altruistic healing for no reason at all, the main problem was self healing which are strong currently but not altruistic healing.
The altruistic healing should remain untouched. They also removed one of hardest counterplay against Nurse, which is insane.
They did not touch any of top tier killers for nerfing when making those changes, DH was the most balanced perk against those killers, but without it now, Nurse, Blight and Spirit will be stronger than ever now. CoH was also really great against them (though I agree 100% this perk should never been existed at first).

@Technature said:
Here's the thing.
I don't disagree with you when you say it's dumb that "Self Care was used heavily and therefore must be nerfed".
That said with the exception of Dead Hard, which has always been complained about, every perk that was nerfed was something that helped contribute to "One side is a survivor safe zone, one side is an impenetrable 3 gen" thing that's been going on.
I don't think these were nerfs that were chosen because "Everyone uses them", or at least not only that.
Can't say the same about Add-ons.
Hillbilly didn't deserve this.
I do not care about DH cause SB has more guaranteed value and I will most likely use it and play more safe than how risky I do now.
I am not saying DH was needed to get such a nerf where you need 3 conditions to use - unhook safely, be injured, then use successfully, it is too much for an exhaustion perk imo. They just wanted to kill it because people still complained about it and it was still the most used perk (but that does not mean it was successfully used every time) and honestly for me it wasn't such a big deal like people made it be. People will just adjust their gameplay to play really safe than risky and I know this community will eventually complain how people play safe. Most game against good survivors will be like playing against Oni - where everyone will drop pallet safely and leave gens as soon as they know the killer is coming.
And these changes won't change much about gens being done fast imo. The gen speed perks are still there, so are the toolboxes and BNP, which will probably the answer to these kind of changes (if Prove Thyself wasn't already so popular) - but we will see.
-
I just played an hour match of this game because of this 3gen meta - what were developers thinking when they thought of changing killers meta? the previous meta was so healthy for killers, Pop made it worthy winning a chase, Corrupt was fine, so was Ruin and Undying (the only problem totems had was spawn, and it is still the same nowadays).
Knight and The Skull Merchant are just unfunny to play against with. What kind of skill is camping an area of gen? and why are the range of these killers' powers so big? These killers are literally the most boring killers BHVR ever has designed gameplay-wise. At this point, I would rather play a match with a very good Nurse or Blight or Spirit that can destroy a team in less than 5 minutes than playing against these last two released killers.
They are not even strong - they are just badly designed to the point they keep you in a match for more than 30 minutes for no reason. I hope the "next meta shakeup" changes this genrush meta vs 3gen meta cause this is what this game is turning into. Stop nerfing healthy metas and start focusing buffing useless perks and nerfing OP perks as well as items/addons for both sides.
-
There a few ideas I've imagined.
1. A good % of discount for skins both in Aurics & Iri for the prestiged character. (It does not stack with their promos, so if a skin is 30% off and you have a 20% off, it will 30% off, not 50% off)
2. A P100 charm for both survivor and killer, they can have the prestiged character design in it (could be a mix of the Adept icon + the P100 background)
3. A legacy type of skin for the basic skin, but i think it is more problematic due to licensing.
4. A good amount of blood points and Iri for every 20 prestige reached so you can either spend on a skin you'd like or buy addons/items for a character.
5. A P100 logo behind your character in the in-game HUD (but it can be disabled in the options). For killer, the hook could have a different design if the P100 charm is equiped.
I think these are very fair since it is an exhausting grind.
-
I find it pretty fun how every main killer laughed at the DH rework, but now here we are.
I think people here are just considering the fact that "most used perks" are basically a 100% guarantee of winning so it needs to be killed - other exhaustion perks are not fun to play with and literally takes 0 skill to use them. What kind of skill takes to use SB? You literally need to run when you know the killer is coming to you so you get some distance - same goes for Lithe and BL.
The reason DH is so popular even if it does not work 100% of time, it is basically because it is a fun chase perk to use unlike other perks.
The example that Otz showed on Twitter is just when two experienced players' worlds collide - the experienced survivor knows you won't M1 right away cause you're an experienced killer, so sometimes the "wait it out" will happen. It is not even 100% effective, really. What kind of nerf people here want to DH? Why can't address toolboxes, BNP, hyperfocus, useless perks and so on?
-
I love using it with Trapper and Hag, they benefit a lot from it and I do not think it needs a buff really.
It makes people to not bodyblock while carrying them and then putting in the basement. Also for Hag, it helps downing other people if they trigger the traps.
It is not a perk solely to instadown people but rather avoid bodyblocks and letting you either put in the basement or even in a scourge hook to avoid getting a gen done safely.
-
I think Open Handed could extend duration of perks and addons that have an aura effect. It is not that kind of problematic since most survivor perks based in auras are not much used. OoO, Alert, etc would benefit from it.
-
It would be nice when clicking esc, but not before the match in the lobby waiting I believe.

The nurse is not a problem for the balance of the game. Only for the sanity of the players who don't have the balls to admit that they can't be good enough to play against her or who play SoloQ and are surprised that their team gets opened by a nurse.
The funny thing is that every time I say that even the very good nurses in the game can be challenged by an organized team, strangely enough, all the people who are constantly crying on the forums say nothing.
It's quite representative of the mentality of some people in the DbD community: when it's about coming to cry, then no worries, there are people, but on the other hand, when it's about showing a little bit of wetness and showing his gameplay, just to illustrate his words, no one.
What are people afraid of? To show that they are in fact incompetent and can't stand more than 3 seconds in front of a nurse? Or maybe they're afraid that we'll see that they actually play in teams so incompetent that it's a feast for the killer, every game?
Maybe, but that's the problem of the team, not the killer.
""you do not need perks to win"
You should have said, "The nurse is strong enough to be able to do without perks against SOME survivors, but against others, if she does, she'll get caught off guard very easily."
But I admit that's immediately much less sexy, and not to help the anti-nurse argument.
Nurse is a problem to the game's balance, and that is my opinion. If you do not agree - it's up to you. Like someone already said here, she was created during a time that balancing was not taken into consideration. I am only asking for some small adjustments to her, not even asking to delete her and let's be honest if she was not part of the game, this game would be even more balanced around killers like Freddy, Sadako, Pig, etc. So just let's just agree to disagree, you do not agree with me and I do not agree with you.
You're pretty much biased towards Nurse, so I am not gonna discuss anymore with you, have a nice day.

"you do not need perks to win"
Why do even the best nurses in the game use perks, then?
Why do the nurses who play in tournaments use perks?
Go practice, instead of talking nonsense.
You're the one talking nonsense here because you do not want to deal with a mechanic that hardly affects Nurse.
They use it because it is a competitive match, not a public match? Are you seriously asking questions like this one? Why do you think some perks and addons are/were banned to Nurse in a competitive match? Why do you think other killers in a competitive match do not deal with perks like DS, DH, etc but Nurse does?
Nurse is a problem to the game's balance, it is just pure facts you just need to accept it. The nerf she received was not even a big nerf to good players that plays her - so why are you crying about it? You think every match is a competitive match? Not even 10% or even 5% of the playerbase is a competitive SWF, just be real.
-
Nurse was never fine, and will never be. The killer was literally made to counter everything, her basekit is already way too strong to the point you do not need perks to win. Just look at Spirit, she was broken back then, and now she is mostly fine - only some addons from her are overpowered but she has a counter, you have an idea where she is phase walking and how close she is to you during a chase, and yet she deals with everything and the nerf she got did not even kill her.
And let's look at the game as a casual game since it is what it is - not a competitive game. Also, MOST of the competitive matches against Nurse are 4K if they know what they are doing. The only thing that matters in these kind of the matches are how many gens are done.
Stop acting like as if asking for the stun timer increase is such a big deal to a killer like Nurse, you're acting like I am asking to nerf Freddy or Sadako.

I'm sorry, but "get good" is just a reality.
As much as I have no problem with nurses not being able to use Starstruck or NOED anymore, I don't think you should go overboard either.
As I've said over and over again, even in 6.4, the nurse was not all powerful.
So she will be even less powerful in 6.5, where she doesn't have any range or recharge addons.
At some point, players who complain about the nurse should question themselves and ask the right questions.
I've asked countless times for players who cry against the nurse to show us videos of them playing against her: nobody did (only one person, but it didn't prove anything in the end so ...); why? What are they afraid of? Maybe they are afraid that we will see that they are in fact bad when they face the nurse ...
I asked quite a few times what the players who cry against the nurse were doing to get better against her? No one answered. Yet
It's typical of a part of the DbD community: complaining, coming to cry, asking for this or that character to be removed, or nerfed enough to look like nothing or to look very much like many players' idea of the "ideal killer": a useless thing that they could loop without worrying for 10 minutes while being half afk.
Sorry, but the nurse is the most powerful killer in the game, and against her, you'll have to be a bit more competent.
At worst, ask Hens333 or other players like him to give you lessons.
You're just trying to prove your point cause you main her, and that's just it. I don't need to show anything to prove the point Nurse is a problem to the game, the only thing she deals with is walls and depending of the map it's not even that much of a problem unless the map is Lerys or RPD at least, and I play well against Nurse, I just think some small adjustments like this one is totally fine, and if you play Nurse, a stun timer increase would definitely not affect you at all so don't try to act smart. I am not even asking to kill her or delete her or make her how bad Freddy is nowadays.
Why are you complaining about a stun timer increase if it won't affect you at all? You're acting as if a stun timer increase will kill her. Are you afraid DS will make you suffer from tunneling someone in the start of the game so you can't 4K so easily? or embarrassed that you can be stunned with a pallet and won't be able to blink right after? Let's start using your "point of view". I won't be able to tunnel so easily? Maybe I should get good playing Nurse.
These adjustments they gave to Nurse is not even a real nerf to Nurse, it's just a way to make her way less broken that she was previously. I will remain with the argument: Blight and Spirit both suffers from DS, Pallet, Head On, windows, any kind of stun and everything and they are both fine (except some addons which are overpowered) so why can't Nurse especially if it's a hard thing to do with her?

The nurse is especially a problem for players who refuse to challenge themselves and try to progress against her.
Currently, despite her range and/or reload addons, she has counterplay, and can be faced by a competent survivor team.
When 6.5 arrives, this will be even more the case.
Sorry, but git gud.
And speaking of git gud, if those crying on the forum would put as much energy into :
- looking for main nurses to train them in 1V1
- playing nurse themselves, so they can see her weaknesses, and apply them when they play survivor,
- recording the games they play against nurses, in order to watch them afterwards, to see what mistakes they made, and how to correct them
that in the fact of complaining continuously on the forum, it would be a long time that the nurses of the game would have much more complicated games than that.
"Get good" is such a bad way of thinking. Nurse will always be OP, her power was designed in a way that counter ALL of the looping mechanics - it is not like Blight or Spirit which are BOTH really strong but still able to deal with any kind of mechanic - windows, pallets, etc.
I am only asking for a stun timer increase for Nurse so she can suffer a little more from stuns which are hard to do and making DS viable against her, not even asking for something big. Why act like this? Pallet stun is not even a big deal for Nurse, hardly anyone can do that against her, Head On? If you know the survivor has it, you won't even get stunned a second time, DS? It will just make her suffer from tunneling (which is the entire purpose of the perk) like any other killer. Sorry but let's be honest here, you're just being biased to your main and it shows.

I think it would be really good to show the progress of the exit gates being opened, these are usually shared in a SWF call. You still would have to guess which one is close to be opened though. Maybe the progress of healing/cleasing/blessing/etc would be taken into consideration.

Stunning Nurse for a or two seconds longer will not even "kill" her, it will just make her suffer from tunneling someone with DS (which is hardly used nowadays due to the stun nerf lol) and rewarding players for stunning her with a pallet (which is HARD to do!) or head on which any experienced player can avoid easily. Killers are supposed to be oppresive? yes, but Nurse is literally the problem of the game, but it is too late to do some big changes to her without killing her and i know it, doing small changes like this one is perfectly fine. I believe the more SoloQ get buffed to be as level of SWF and killers like Nurse and Blight get a little nerf, BHVR can consider buffing other killers. I'd love a Sadako buff but that's not the point of the convo here.
