Yeah survivors having the ability to just portal away or go invisible while killer gets borderline nothing is not fun, which should've been obvious to the devs.

Assuming that the amount of blocks is unlimited, it would help a lot to reduce selfish teammates constantly ruining games. No more sandbaggers, hook farmers, bush stealth noobs that do not do gens and so on.
"Bu-bu-bu-butt would that not increase queue times?" Technically, yes it would, but it is ok. For the survivors that block pthers, it is their choice, they consider that their experience is better even with higher queue times if the selfish teammates get removed from their gameplay. As for the survivor that gets blocked by everyone, it is his fault: if his gameplay made the game unfun for the thousands of survivors he met, then it is his problem, not the problem of thousands of survivors.
Also, yes sometimes you might be blocked without a reason, but that would be very rare as most survivors would just block the bad ones and you would still have 99% of players left (which means that your queue times would not really be affected). And these players would penalize themselves way more than anyone else anyways.
Besides, the main argument that these useless teammates will probably throw, that queue times will be increased therefore you should not be allowed to block people, would assume that you are not allowed to not play. By not playing dbd, you increase queue times by removing yourself from the list of players that can be matched and it is worse than just having a few removed players: instead of not allowing a few players to be matched with you, you prevent the entire player base of being in your lobby. So, if you cannot block bad teammates from playing with you, you cannot stop playing dbd.
Bad teammates kind of suck. Camping Bubbas and slugging Nurses are much worse, imo.

OP has a point, though. The reward currently looks pretty bad if you only have it on a few characters - here's mine, for instance.

I've got a special reward on a lot of characters, and I'm extremely inclined to turn it off because it's going to look like That. Forever.
And even if you did get it on everyone, future characters are not going to be able to access the reward, so it's going to look choppy no matter what. While I don't agree that the same reward should be given for legacy and just levelling up, I think the backgrounds work much better as a level-up reward than a retired one (and that once again, legacy should have been something else.)
I wouldn't say it looks bad, I think it really displays who your mains are!
With that said, mains change over time, so It hink this should remain a prestige reward. What if I now main wesker and ada, for example?

Why do bragging rights matter?
What exactly do you think skins and clothes and charms are for, bud? People want to be proud of what they've accomplished. Nothing wrong with that. It's not putting anyone else down.

This is exactly why it's nice to spare a survivor with hatch now and then, or not go too hard on a group with a disconnect, etc. Yeah, it's not necessary but other people wanna have fun too... And it's not very cool to ruin everyone else's fun, in a multiplayer game.

Alright, who - outside of me - actually runs lightborn? And there's no "messing up the timing" it's SO EASY
Edit: I didn't see your last point, why wouldn't you camp with Leatherface when it's literally his strength, why go kill people when they come to you obliviously
It's not fun, it's not fair to the one on hook and it's pretty shameless and underhanded. Camping is never okay. And I'm a Killer Main.
