I hate new DL. Obsession isn't affected, yet you're punished for killing him by having Dying Light shut off!
Presumably your BF was slugging the DL Obsession so they don't die and can't get gens? "Dying" Light. More like "Slugged in the corner of the map so they can't get generators with Knock Out so survivors can't find him and heal him and he inevitably bleeds out into the dirt Light"
Some big problems with it absolutely. But it’s better than nothing. If the obsessions dc’s or kills themselves on hook, it’s gone. The obsession not being affected negatively and actually getting buffed bothers me. In the early game it can be really bad but when you start getting hooks, I like it. It will have to do until gen speeds are changed or if they decide not to go through with the nerf.

I would also like to see this
He doesn’t even play red rank survivor, let alone killer. I don’t know how these guys can be devs on a title like this, and not play and understand the highest ranks.

Ruin needed to get the rework hammer but without adjusting gen repair times they crippled a lot of killers. High tier killers will still find a way but the others will fall into disuse and the meta will get even more boring than it was before. It's also going to encourage a lot of people to use all the Ebony Moris they've had locked away because they considered it unfair to use. NOED use will increase as well. Killer players have the tools to deal with this already. The anger mostly comes from the fact we were expected not to use those tools so many forgot they existed.
I agree with this statement 100%. When will the devs realise they are hurting their player base?! I never use mori’s and I never use noed. Now, I am really considering it. Just out of spite. I have a lot of mori’s saved up too and now I might just use them also.

Exactly. I think if they changed ruin in the way they did then they need to slow regular gen speed. Once you get around the higher ranks then people start knowing what to do and who should be on gens, who should be saving, whos looping where, and just overall game knowledge. Gens are gonna start popping left and right. Its not very easy to juggle 4 survivors who all know how to play the game to a high skill extent.
That would be better. Ruin would still be a good perk, and I wouldn’t even see it as a huge nerf. Make it so ruin effects gen speed. I don’t know why the devs didn’t do this instead.

I stay between rank 1 and 2 as killer. I find myself sweating and trying hard in quite a lot of matches I play. There are a lot of big maps, and I’ve had it where survivors all spawn together and finish a gen (with ruin) before I’ve even reached them. This post is quite true. I’m not enjoying Killer and now survivor is going to be hell of a lot easier. I normally main killer but I just don’t want to anymore, especially now after hearing about the ruin nerf. Granted, I don’t need ruin for every game but there are teams out there that I play, that without ruin, you lose. I’ve been having a blast on survivor all day. No pressure, no stress. Unlike killer.

I’m shocked. Do the devs even play at red ranks? From what I’ve seen when they stream, they sit at yellow and green. How can you balance the game for lower ranks and not think about what it does to those playing at high ranks. If ruin was changed to a normal perk and not a hex perk I wouldn’t be as mad but the fact you expect it to be a “strong” late game perk, yet it is broken within the first 60 seconds of the majority of matches. The new ruin does work quite nicely with surveillance, or are you going to change how that works too. Because it’s not fun for survivors. Just like you did with legion and nemesis.
