  • Addition to the post about going in naked. Went in naked and ear blind with music blaring. Match didn't go well but i was more interested in chainsaw sprint ritual and goofing around. Results?

I had fun, got in one chainsaw attack and two hooks.

I went in a level 10 killer with nothing and even added streamers for fun.

What does it feel like i wonder being a survivor looking at the post game screen seeing three of you were purple rank, one was red and you were loaded to the gills with perks and add ons and a killer not only didn't care but also gave you bloodpoints as a giggle?

Remember Killers, be better, carry the game.

Survivors are playing your game and always will be.

If you are getting beat badly in a one sided match, make your own fun or step away from the controller and watch some BRUSH cartoons or have a sammich cause those fools just soured the game for them not you.

    Also, take sportsmanship gracefully please.

I have been the survivor to give a sportsmanship kill to a killer and been the killer being given the sportsmanship kill.

Hang them up and don't hit them showing you are being sore.

  • Killer Challenge: for the sake of testing yourself, go in with no items, perks, addons at all. Ignore how many kills you get and be proud that you challenged yourself and did a match without items.

  • The game is designed for Killers to carry the match and make the challenge.

Killer add ons and perks are to adapt to odds of a 4 on 1 game and make it challenging and exciting for the survivors.

Do a one month study giving the killers ability to see Survivor level and items.

If they use it to stomp matches then point proven and question answered.

If matches improve all around then you have an easier solution to match making, ranking and overall morale.

New killers who get the classic 4 red swf maxxed out survivors can decide if they want to avoid that match or get their best items and take on the challenge.

High ranking killers can see low level survivors and decide if they want to challenge themselves and go in naked and be kind to developing survivors.

This won't happen obviously but if it did i think it would be an interesting study and could lay the framework for future changes.

  • Refreshing so killers who are new and want to have fun and get better instead of whine and Bob Itch can find a place to go instead of seeing a Ghostbusters II sized river of moaning panty wasting fly maggots with nothing better to do than make the worst of someone elses hard work.

From a Horror movie fan who never played pvp games before, Thank you BHVR for this truly awesome game.

Killers, get killin and thrillin when the blood starts spillin

  • Give back when you can but don't encourage bad behavior.

I go survivor every now and then and if gens are popping way too fast i find the killer and let them have me.

If i do my gens and see the killer is having trouble or getting trolled i let them have me.

If i mind my own business, haven't run into the killer all match but they did poorly for whatever reason i let them have me, but if they stand there attacking me because they are pissed off, when i get unhooked that's it for giving.

Camp if you have to but remember bad energy goes around as does good energy

  • Killer Tip for positive thinking: You are what makes the game fun.

I get frustrated too when i get the SWF all red high level survivors who are going to purposely make the match an insult for you.

Don't waste your time or energy complaining or crying or even trashing them.

Take a deep breath and remember You are what makes the game fun.

You are taking up 5 challenges and survivors are only taking up one.

You are taking the challenges of improving, carrying the game, working against odds, keeping things interesting and keeping the game fun for yourself.

Unkind survivors outnumber unkind killers by a landslide for a reason. Their role ia designed to be selfish.

The kind survivors you will see will be rare, who realize you have been bullied unfairly and make a show of friendship instead of Tbagging on their way out.

As a Killer you getting better means giving chances and opportunities for an interesting game.

    Get better, be better.

P.S. i did encounter a rare kind survivor today. Match wasn't going bad but they knew something i didn't, that the deck was stacked against me. For every hook there was a gen popping and when unhooked they were invulnerable and hitboxes were just not in my favor.

I didn't D/C or waste time getting mad i opened the exit gate and walked away. They came up and stood by a hook.

It may be frustrating but try to have fun and respect yourself and other players. There are good ones out there, more if you decide to be one too.

  • What is your code of Ethics when encountering a Survivor you are friends with?

Me i save them for last if possible or at least be sporting

  • The goal of Killers in the Clubhouse is to get better and have fun.

We understand survivors can be unnecessarily frustrating but we want you to learn to be positive. Holding onto frustration over a video game is only going to make things worse and then where are you?

Stuck with a game that you are miserable at and paid money for, and the sad truth is it is your fault because there are other people in the same spot still having fun.

The difference is what do you do with your energy and time. Being mad and complaining, waste of energy.

Everyone gets troll survivors and one sided matches against survivors that outrank them the list goes on and on, but there are STILL people who deal with it, smile and not only do they have fun but they bring fun into the game.

That being said todays tip is the hate bag. I don't usually condone negative thoughts and practices but this one can help you make better use of your time.

The people whining and complaining on both sides of the field are boring cookie cutter nobodies, don't be that nobody.

You get a survivor, they are T-Bagging, Taunting, Making noise just to frustrate you. This is where you use the Hate Bag

The Hate Bag: inside the hate bag are the worst things you can call someone and do to them. Insults, threats and angry feelings that you wouldn't want your mother to hear.

Take off your headphones, force a big creepy smile, put the control down and put those survivors in the Hate Bag.

Let out a breath and you will feel better, why?

The Hate Bag, is a garbage bag. You don't talk to garbage or argue with it, you throw it away and move on.

A person of any age that uses their time on a video game to make someone else feel bad, they are garbage on the game and off it.

You will have better matches, you will have fun. They can be top red rank all they want, they are still in the Hate Bag.

Big Creepy Smile, breathe out and Kill on

  • Thank you for everything and all the hard work.

  • Same, Thank you very much for the Bloodpoints and all your hard work.

    This is my favorite game.

  • The Coward Test/Sad Survivor

You stomp a match ( and believe me new killers one day you will be stomping matches ) and decide you want to have mercy. These two scenarios have happened to me

One Hooked one on shoulder: i go to the hooked and wait so the shoulder survivor can wiggle free and save the other.

They wiggle free and just run away...this sad survivor just watched his team mate leave him to die

Coward Bill: a Bill and a Feng are left Feng is down Bill is shouldered so i take him to Feng so he can heal her etc. Wiggles loose, run away and uses the key and escapes in the hatch.

For the last one i picked up Feng and carried her to the gen and let her shake loose and rake in points doing gens and hitting me with pallets.

  • Favorite Horror Movie Killer?

Not concerned about who would make a good addition to the game just who are your favorite Horror Killers?

Part of what drew me to the game was being a Horror fan.

I am a big Jason Voorhees fan but when i saw this game had a variety i went with my total Horror love over an individual character: anywho my top 3

Jason, Hannibal Lecter and The Leprechaun

  • Result: Huntress and 4 survivors spin dancing

Was really funny, next time i want to try and get to the saloon and have a Saloon party

Kind Killer Recognition: not sure if its a trend but i have seen 3 kind killers in 6 days.

These Killers are mid rank and just politely let survivors do gens and leave.

Maybe that ideal of paying it forward really does exist?

It's nice to see and makes me proud to be a Killer Main

In fact, imma do one too!

  • What's the fuss?: to me the mark of a good killer is when you can see the common complaints flooding the market and wonder what the fuss is all about.

I'm playing the same game and same characters and abilities and enjoy the product.

Is this what gaming culture is? I'm a moderate gamer from the Nintendo tribe so it all seems fancy and fun to me.

As advice i would say try to stay free of the misery culture, the game is good for me and i don't expect perfection.

Just play the thing, have fun and if you can't have fun, stop or drop in and see all the advice and tips on how

  • Positive Energy: we all get frustrated from time to time and the discussion board is mostly negative feelings so i want to encourage positive energy and how to make your gameplay fun.

Me personally i am not a very serious gamer and have fun playing the game and even take the bad stuff in stride, in fact even better thanks to advice from this page.

Continue to make the game fun for yourself, ignore bullying, ignore the hate and savour those sweet kills and fun moments.

  • New Killer Tip/Challenge: Background music

If you have a headset with a splitter or other means to listen to music i recommend it depending on your mindset it can have some benefits

1: get pumped and ready for the match

2: lower the music volume to being almost inaudible so it won't distract from game sounds, i have a slight focus problem so this subconscious focus on that sound sharpens my regular focus and also occupies too much of my mind to allow me to get frustrated

    3: keeps the mood

4: Ear blind challenge: when you become GREAT with a killer, try the ear blind challenge and Jam your favorite music while killing in a murder music video

  • New Killer Tip: Tease those pallets, pump the brakes so you don't get hit then destroy

New Killer Apologies: had a survivor match for the Archive and a new Clown got a no kill :( if i didn't need to survive for the challenge i would have let them get in some practice and a kill.

  • New Killer Fun: Deathslinger

If you aren't getting the hang of him yet, try to at least have fun human fishing.

At best i get 2 out of 4 kills and sometimes none but for me it's just fun to use him.

The key to any killer for me is making them fun for yourself.

Over focus on scores can make you salty but if you at least have fun during the game, the rest becomes superficial.

Here is a list of my killer fun moments.

Clown: i just love clowns so a bit of pre jams to Killer Klown Theme beforehand and i am good, now with Mr.Puddles skin i have even more fun

Hillbilly: singing cotton eyed joe while sprinting across the field

Doctor: He giggles all the time and his powers make for some fun torture even if they don't inflict damage, also i imagine Dr. Hibbert from The Simpson's

Huntress: Honestly Huntress requires more dedication for me, i am having the most fun when i am nailing the hatchet shots which feel oh so good.

Trapper: Easy enough to use so i have less fun but can always count on him if i have a ritual or archive achievement to do

Hag: Rune Trap Fiesta! Just find a good spot and fill that sucker with traps. Bad strategy for a successful game maybe but freaks out a survivor and helps with those teleportation hit rituals.

Oni: listening to Tokyo Drift before doing a Demon Charge

Spirit: Easy enough to use that i just have fun chasing and phase hunting people down

Wraith i have just started using and is fun to hunt people invisibly, Nurse i am too lazy to have fun with. I bet skilled nurses have a ball blink hitting survivors but me i need max perks to do a ritual.

The rest i haven't unlocked and Leatherface i have and enjoy mainly as a fan.

So never forget to get out there and have fun.

  • New Killer Fun: that awkward moment when you switch to survivor and it's the people you killed

  • New Killer Tip: Difficulty shift

As you know or will learn depending on your region there is a time when matchmaking really piles on the difficulty, use this as a chance to try your most devastating perk and addon builds

I started maining nurse a few months ago and most of the toxic survivors stopped being toxic

Awesome! and lots of respect for being a Nurse main. I didn't have the patience, discipline, talent to get good so i always have a lot of respect for those who give her the time to get good.

  • New Killer Lament: Doing archive and really want that Mr. Puddles suit and i am all out of killer missions and have to do survivor ones instead...makes me feel bad when i have to survive and a new Killer is left without a single kill...

  • New Killers Campground easy tip:

When archives are open you might be able to double up bloodpoints doing a ritual that also allows the archive to be completed

  • Howdy Killers, just checking in.

Remember Campers is a survivor term, at the end of the day it's a tactic that works.

Even experienced killers could run into a match against 4 swf survicors perked to the max and see the gens popping off and say " time to find one and camp"

  • To try and stay positive i will say Killers have a fairly common practice of mercy games.

When a match is just a squash Killers might suddenly give the last two survivors a chance to recoup, not out of survivor rules or obligation but out of personal choice.

Like anything in the game you are just as likely to get a ruthless 4k killer but even as the environment gets less friendly for Killers you still see mercy games here and there.

On these grounds that Killers will make an effort to give to survivors and make fun for both sides, less on their side.

  • Huntress, Clown and Hillbilly are my 3 mains.

I am still with it because to be honest i still have fun playing the game and killing survivors.

Hi,im really having a really hard time playing killer because of the infinite loops, tbaggers, toxic survivor but i really want to improve my killer experience, any advice to make the game less stressful? I main Myers but i sometime play leatherface and ghostface too, most of the time i got bully by OP Survivors and then they tbag and call me noob, etc

    Howdy,

To start off with " HAVE FUN " is going to be a very important mantra to repeat to yourself. If you're not having fun you're doing it wrong.

Try not to think about rank. In general focusing on one survivor is bad for the score but it can be very satisfying if you catch a trouble maker.

Use tactics that work, even if people think negatively of them.

Never read the messages, just save yourself some time and never read them. Drop in a GG and a smiley face, ignore what they say and leave.

You have the perfect lineup to really have fun in the game.

Leatherface: once you get his chainsaw attack down, Camp, Camp, Camp it is perfect for clearing out altruists.

Ghostface: when i play survivor nothing scares me more than realizing he has snuck up on me

Micheal Myers: master that stalking and take them out.

If Gen Rush is popping off, tell yourself " well, better find a lucky winner to be my plaything "

Remember killing only gets better with practice and this is how you get in practice and make it fun.

For some winning strategy you need to know the Survivor strategy, if someone is looping you or really hard to chase, that's a runner there to purposely distract you.

No team is evenly balanced, there is always a weak link, ignore the runners and loopers and patrol the gens to find the weak link.

Tunnel Tunnel Tunnel, the less of them there are the harder it is for them. They want to unhook someone, dog that wounded survivor and hook them again till they are sacrificed.

Patrolling is a very good practice, find three gens close to one another and try to protect them then head out hunting. When it gets down to the last gen they have to go into your zone that you know how to patrol.

As stated by Sleepy Willo, KYF when you can for stress free practice.

To finish up here are some personal tips for stress relief.

Troll Hour: you will figure out the specific time gaps in the day when OP survivors like to SWF, and to respond to that i use ringers.

    Ringers: Billy, Irridescent Huntress

For me Billy is fun because i can run around like a maniac and every now and then one hit down even the most OP survivor.

Huntress with Irridescent heads and utility belt and black ward, watch them fall.

    Funzies: Mr. Puddles, Doctor

Using Clown in Mr. Puddles head makes me smile even if the match is bad cause i am running around saying " Who wants to play with Mister Puddles!"

Doctor i only used recently but to me he is just fun. His laughter is infectious even if he gets hit with a pallet and his powers are just sadistic and force people out of hiding

Last thing, Pallets. You know survivors love to drop pallets on you, don't let them do it, slow down and psych them into dropping it then break it. Even if they want to drop every pallet on the map if you keep avoiding and breaking them, you just took away one of their tools

  • NEVER! but real talk, only you can decide what you do with your hard earned Moris' don't let the opinion or feelings of others matter.

Remember that maxxed out perk heal/gen/sabo rush is always one match away, and they will not give as much thought about respect.

  • As a numbers man i started with three mains, once they were prestiged and back to 50 i would pick another to work on.

Now i work on all killers so i can make the most of archives and rituals

  • @Carlosylu said:

Rule number 1: Play as you wish if it makes you have fun

Rule number 2: It doesn't matter if you're a "good guy" or a "merciless killer", if you camp or tunnel, if you insta mori, blah blah blah, ALWAYS follow rule number 1

Rule number 3: Pizza, Nachos, Tacos, Popcorn AND Chicken wings can make you a better killer cause you'll enjoy the experience even more

I sometimes feel like giving away hatch, I sometimes feel like not tunneling nor camping, I tend to mori only instead of 3rd hook AND after all survivors have been hooked at least once. But yes, that's my gamestyle, not everyone has to play the way YOU want them to play. Remember kids, it's just a game. :)

Here Here! To Fun and Killin and Bow legged Jake!

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/133773/how-this-fair

    I swear I commented but it's gone...

I've been getting my rank 17 killer vs red and purple SWF's on PS4. It's not fair by any stretch so I don't let it bother me. There's nothing I can do with that matchmaking. I just try to make smart plays, but I don't need kills to have fun playing this game anyway. If it's three Claudettes on Sanctum of Wrath though, I don't even bother. I just want the game done as quickly as possible so I can get into a game where I might have a chance.

I Just had one of those! Wasn't so bad actually i was clown so i could smoke them out. Hooked everyone at least twice but they were maxxed out high ranks so it was serious work to get two completly sacrificed.

Still fun, i wonder how they felt getting found and hooked all the time

  • My first long distance Hatchet on a moving target that downed the survivor

  • Hate most would be displeased entity...i don't care for your opinion you fat elder god reject i am trying my best here and doing all the work while you watch me and scream drums into my ear!

Everything else i take in stride but that pointy jerk can keep their feelings to themselves and not add salt to my wounds, lucky survivors never have to hear that things opinion.

  • They just need to add more Killer rituals and less survivor ones.

That way even if a killer is up against an unfair advantage the high rank will be spending more on a match with their resources and the killer will earn more since a killer needs to spend more to make a match even.

If i am going to hit 5 matches in one night of all purple and red rank survivors using all their perks, i need to be able to use my good items and be able to replenish them quickly and survivors need to have a much harder time replenishing.

Also let the Killer see Rank in the Lobby, the main structure of this game is that the Killer is providing the entertainment for the game plain and simple. Clever when you think about it,

The Killer is an employee that actually paid to do their own job. Give them their tools and the matchmaking problem won't matter.

Killers like to kill, survivors like to rank and torture killers. Let Survivors rank but bleed out their resources over time and feed them to the Killers.

The best survivors can do it without items but a one on four match is always one on four.
