  • I tend to use one or two unique perks on the survivor im playing as I'm levelling them up, an exhaustion perk, and a perk I think fits well. To give a few examples:

Zarina with: for the people, resilience, dead hard, and quick and quiet

Nea with: urban, balanced, lightweight and q&q (one of my favorite chase oriented builds i have)

And Feng with: lithe, alert, lightweight, and urban (my other favorite chase build i made)

  • For survivor I gotta say lightweight for an everyone perk and for the people for a teachable.

For killer its definitely deerstalker or bitter murmur. I have gotten lots of value from both.

  • Playing with a friend who was hooked in the basement by a huntress on badham. Proceeded to drop the pallet on the huntress, blind her, and zoom to the other side of the pallet before she broke it and got friend off hook. Bit confused on how it worked though.

  • For surv I love playing as Zarina but I do also have Cheryl, Feng, and Nea to play once I get Zarina to level 50

Killer is trapper, and legion. I love the feeling of a survivor hitting a trap after thinking they got away and I find the thought of an edgy teen with a knife running around kinda funny. I do wanna pick up Ghostface once I get the money though.

  • As killer I give the last survivor hatch almost every match, especially when I blow through them with 2 to 3 gens left. I've had plenty of gg's and a couple of thank you's. Even had one where a toxic claudette was waiting for everyone to die while waiting for hatch but I caught her beforehand and accidentally killed the last person.

As a survivor I had a match with a friendly huntress because I had the same xbox profile picture as them. I tried giving the huntress a kill because they wouldn't have had bloodpoints otherwise but I was instead escorted to the exit by the buff russian lady. We chatted a bit after the match and I honestly had a blast.

I agree but unfortunately you will never get killer players to admit it. They are so self-centered they think that they are the only ones who should be able to have fun with this GAME. They're "rules" they dont have to follow; the famous lines nearly all of them tout when you try to say ANYTHING about the game, only further proves how singular minded they are to allow them to play as toxic as they want without repercussions. This is why we have the game in the state its in now. NEITHER side is happy cause the other plays like jerks. Ive been killer and survivor and seen both sides play like this. I agree SOMETHING has to be done about slugging. I myself have posted on this topic myself which got the same reaction as this post has gotten. Most survivor mains will agree that its a problem, while most killer mains will simply say they can play however they want (which is true since as we've seen even when the devs put a mechanic in to deter killers from doing something they will do it anyways. The game is what it is. If it keeps going like it is though I have a bad feeling that it will be its own destruction. I dont know how a game can last when the entire thing is so fragile and it keeps ripping itself apart.

You will also never get either side to admit that they take this game way to seriously and take everything either side does to heart instead of letting it go. Both sides don't realize that it's just a fricking game and that the other side is also human but people also lose all humanity when online and think that they can be dicks since they are behind a screen.

The fact that it can happen is wrong. Killers often say "You have X perk and Y perk to counter this situation" but we can't have every perk equipped that we need. There's bad matchups. If you bring healing stuff, oh it's a Plague so you lose. If you don't bring any anti-slug and they slug, oh well you lose. If you bring a flashlight and it's a Hag or Wraith, oh well they lose. Games are decided too much by matchup rng.

But That's the point of the game. That's the point to any pvp game where your character has abilities. You have to know the match ups and play to your strengths while knowing your weaknesses. You can't just have a perk or item equipped and expect the killer to be what the perk counters.

Go jump on pokemon for a bit to learn about match ups more. They are good to learn

  • I purposely stepped on a trap a few days ago because of a bullshit grab i had on a claudette. Sometimes the game is wonky and i feel bad for the bullshit hits i get.

  • I'm just a nice person most of the times and if i romp on the survivors in playing against I'll give the last one the hatch. Alternatively if I see a killer struggling to get a kill or wants to farm I'll try to give them a kill if I can.

  • wait wait wait. Can I add my unwanted build into the mix?

I play both sides and enjoy both sides so I know the pain of each side. For now I run ruin, brutal strength, noed, and whispers but I am removing noed once I get a better perk and trying to get a better perk to replace ruin. I'm still fairly new to trapper and noed rarely works anyways.

For surv the only "meta" perk I use is dead hard but I also run resilience, for the people and quick and quiet. I really like the idea of helping other survivors while distracting the killer and if i ultimately screw up im not gonna use ds or unbreakable to get a second chance. If i get camped oh well. If my teammate gets camped I'll try to figure out a way to save them, I've done it before. If im tunneled I'll go to the next game.

People take this game way to seriously though. It might be ranked but it's a game, not some hardcore survival simulator. You aren't getting money for being the best player or team. But hell, you do you.

  • I made a damn account after stalking around these forums for so long on here. The reason killers like to complain alot about DS and Unbreakable is because they live by the Survivor's handbook for non-toxic killers.

Honestly if survivors want to bring the meta perks tunneling and slugging them hard at the start to eat the DS and Unbreakable is probably best to do, but it also makes them lose their pressure. Either way it's probably lose-lose for the killer in the long run so scratch what I said.

Honestly DS needs a tone down to make it a complete anti-tunnel perk. Something like "if the survivor is out of the terror radius for 10/15/20 seconds DS turns off until next hook" or something of a sorts because if survivors do obj right off of hook the killer can still tunnel especially if a gen is near.

And before anyone starts with the any time use issue it would still activate after first hook.

Thx for listening to my TED talk everyone.
