It’s funny how some Survivors are getting so defensive over 360s now. Like what’s really going to happen on the Survivor side if they get removed? Are Survivors just that obsessed with their existence and 4.5.0 was that scary to them? They hurt last gen console frames anyways so it’d be a good thing if they were removed. It’s not like the devs are going to suddenly optimize them.
I couldn't 360 for the life of me. Yall make such a big deal out of survivors able to do it, but that's just the minority. As per the other comment said, high ranking killers are slaughtering. The animations makes movements slow, difficult to try to dodge or turn or mind game etc. Go try survivor. Don't even need to do 360, just try to survive like most of us. Go against not low ranking killers, and where more than half of the matches did either camp or tunnel or both.
-
You gonna love me as survivor. Because I'm one of the (majority) survivor who can't 360. But I hated the animations since it made survivors move so sluggish and difficult to turn or dodge or mind games. In many other survivors chases that I've seen--the killer simply M1 while turning in place to hit those 360. I don't understand how that made sense either. Oh wait, OP wouldn't be able to explain that, because he couldn't figure out to hit survivors.
This is just another case of killer unable to hit survivors with the help of already massive hitboxes (plus desync).
You got used to getting 10m away hits real fast there buddy.

Spirit is overpowered, but still need some skills. Twins is just a cheap killer with built in camp. That's what most of the Twins that I faced does. Though I never show my salt. I'm one of those survivors that you won't get any vocal satisfaction from, especially if you know you're only winning by camps and tunnels.
-
I've only played a few games ever since the patch that broke everything. I wouldn't be surprised if it's due to lower population.
-
I would rather you not generalize every killer (or survivor) like this. But I also just got an iris head huntress as well (whose skills are average at best) and got 4K. People like to use OP characters, it's just ingrained in us. It's the design and hitboxes that you should complain about.
Though it does felt filthy to lose to yet another lower skilled killer just because they 'main' huntress. I just move on, not voicing any salt or anything, knowing they probably couldn't get kills otherwise. /shrug

In the hands of a good player, both survivor and killer can be good. I think one reason any of the sides feels OP is due to the mismatched of skills between survivors and killers. Mismatching skills, not ranks. Ranks don't necessarily reflect the players true skills.
Also, coming from a survivor main who have been playing the game on and off for couple years, I will say this: for killers, they feel like they're so much more gen rush now compared to before. I think this is because survivors now actually do gens. Yes yes what kind dumb of revelation is this yeah? But back then when I was a semi new survivor, all I did was sneak play, not do gens and run at slight heartbeat, not unhooking teammates etc, because that's I see how my random teammates played. Now when I play as a low rank killer against semi noobie survivors, they actually did gens and stood a chance to escape. Remember, toolbox are nerfed and maps are smaller, and there's pop. There's so many changes that helps completing gens more difficult than before. But the reason killers still felt gen-rushed is simply because... Survivors are actually focused on the objective now, compared to before.
My conclusion is, this game simply isn't new player friendly.

Use pig. Attach trap. Chase that survivor. Crouch /look away occasionally to lose chase for the trap timer to run but still tailing said survivor. Get kills.
That's my experience with pig.
-
I mean, I still got hit by cheap hits or hits that's like two meters away. Rarely do I actually see the hit validation thing work.
Check your internet connection, if not then your skills.
-
Usually I stay for killer to hit for points. If it's obvious the killer isn't coming I'll just leave. Sometimes if the random teammates are being funny then we're just fooling around with each at the gate. I get that it's hard to tell survivor's intention for waiting at the gate unless killer actually be there. But I can stop waiting from now on if killers really didn't want that hit.

I mean, I'm one of the weird survivors who almost never used DS BT Unbreakable in my three years of on and off playing of this game. But ever since crossplay, toxicity seems to intensified to the point that I started put on BT to help the team from the camps. If I also pack DS, I would have got myself out of so many tunnels (or at least extended chases). Now I'm considering to also use it as well because of that.
Whose fault is this? I don't think it's fair to say it's only killers. If both sides can be more respectful to each other, we wouldn't be stuck in the never ending cycle of toxicity.

Pretty much. The red ranks are just tryhards these days. If you don’t bring the meta you suffer for it.
So much this. I play dbd on and off for two, three years and I barely used unbreakable ds and bt. I even chose head on as my exhaustion perk even though I only get to use it in one out of maybe five games. But lately? I started to pack BT because there's tunnel and camp in nine out of ten games. I feel like it's an achievement that I still don't pack DS these days. With the extreme toxic killer that I just had, made me consider to start using DS and unbreakable now as well.
-
Ever since crossplay? My bar have been low since, just a no camp and/or tunnel I'll give a GG post chat.
Actual fun? Outplaying or win mind games with killer. I don't need to escape to feel like it is a good game. A lot of times I'm happy to sacrifice myself to get teammates out.
As a killer, no toxic survivors that BMs.
Basically boils down to everyone be not toxic and I'm already happy enough.

I mean you could, but toxicity reports only really work if they cross a certain line (holding the game hostage, discriminatory language, etc.) so i don't think it will really do much
but then again, shame is a very powerful weapon
He WAS holding the game hostage though, by waiting out for the last two survivors to bleed on the ground. He was standing near one survivor and did the spins and lunges around him, watching him slowly bleed out.
Also not much point in shaming him out, he can just buy yet another account if he needs to.
-
All of you who said to counter slugging, just bring DS and Unbreakable. Are you the same ones who's gonna cry out about survivors use 'meta' perks or whatever. I rarely run both. Killers please, what perks exactly do you want me to run?
-
Yeah current Freddy is just boring. I wish they can redesign his power to better fit him as the dream demon. I'm a survivor main but if I want to wreck some noobs, I use Freddy. He is powerful, but not immersive as a Freddy. They got the right idea when it was Freddy 1.0. I wish they can redesign to something similar.

Slug play isn't that bad, unless you're doing the 'slug the third survivor to sweat the 4k' kind of killer. Then you're just wasting everyone's time. As for doctor though. I always think he's just a cheap killer. Press a button to find out where survivors are. Like if I successfully did a stealth play and lost you, it just feels cheap when doctor is able to find me the next second by pressing a button with no brain.
I'm not telling you what killers to play just to be clear. Play whoever you want. It just feels cheap is all.
-
Survivors run ds bt etc because of the way killers play (tunnel camp etc). It's also the same vice versa. Killers tunnel camp because survivors tbag flash click bait killers etc.
In the end it just got down to players need to be nice to each other. It's players themselves that ruin each other's fun.

Huntress and gunslinger.
I always go against really good huntress, and I don't know how to dodge against house sized axes especially when they know exactly which corners or boxes or walls that the axe can go through.
Gunslinger is as bad because they can cheese it by dragging you to the other side of the loop (if you got shot) and I don't think that's the intended design for this killer. Also with monitor and abuse it's too late to realize when the killer is near. With the lack of need to wind up to aim, it's just a matter of time before I got shot even with the huge distance between us.
I tried both killers myself and they're so disgusting that I'll just laugh when I see killers profile stating that they're huntress/gunslinger main.

Don't forget the non existing terror radius. Would rather just get gens done and out. Unless you meant to tell me you have no idea about that bug.

My guess is that you are low rank. And yes, there is camping in low ranks. My suggestion is to join a group you can SWF with and keep playing, so you can climb out of camping ranks. I very rare to see purple and red rank killers camp. As for tunneling... Happens in all ranks, so your best bet is to play with SWF who know how to unhook safely and coordinate hook states, as well as equip anitunnel perks.
Not sure I entirely agree. I'm a red rank survivor and this is what I always thought if I see a killer face camps. But it's actually almost always red rank killers that face camps.
On that train of thought, I think you're right. It's the low rank killers that do face camps, tunnels. Got their pip and ranked up.
Wish there's ways to match up with killers that got their ranks without that much tunneling. At least if I lose I know I lost to a skilled killer, and I respect them for that.
-
start running if you see him from three miles away. Pull down pallets early if you think the forever chainsaw isn't stopping for another loop. Yeah pallets will be wasted. A lot of my games against a leatherface isn't good. They're also usually the ones to camp so he can tornado chainsaw who tries to unhook.
So basically run early.
-
I wish they'll remove keys and moris. I rarely bring a key because I need to care killer's feelings. Either they dodge lobby, or it's usually mori, noed and tunnel(but tunnel is almost every game anyway).
Just remove keys and moris.
-
I have a killer who told me he tunneled the first survivor because it's a bad map. I forgot what map it was but it wasn't a bad map for him. Unlike that spiteful first comment above, the survivor lasted longer than a few minutes but there's no fun for both survivor and killer. I'm not sure why killers are so adamant at 'keeping their pip' or 'pip up' (therefore trying real hard without actually having fun) every game when they will have easier time at lower ranks. Yes I'm a survivor main who doesn't play to pip. I play for fun.

Some killers have no terror radius or reduced /messed up TR or theme music. I see these killers more frequently now. Now why don't you tell them to not use these killers too? No terror radius is much much more breaking than free iron will. Also I rarely play him so I can't tell what exactly make him silent, but not every Ash I encountered are silent.
-
I faced multiple killers with no heartbeat at all since the patch. Also most killers have reduced terror radius or theme music pop out of nowhere and then went away after a few sec. So broken.
-
PC here. Played multiple rounds since the latest dlc. A lot of killers I ran into since have no heartbeat or reduced/messed up heartbeat or theme music. Usually the ones without heartbeat are leatherface. It's so unusual to get so many leatherface per day especially when a new killer just came out... I suspect players are aware of this and are abusing it by playing killers that they knew didn't have heartbeat. I was playing with friends so it wasn't just me that couldn't hear it. They got me almost every time because by the time I see a leatherface with no terror radius, it's too late to get away from the tornado of a chainsaw. I checked their perks everytime, no monitor and abuse and no tinkerer.
Please fix this asap.

As a survivor main, I would agree to lock both sides. Mostly I'm tired of killers dodging lobbies just because I'm holding something that killers consider offensive to them. Or because some random teammate wears bright colored outfits. I mean if I can't dodge your moris (I get mori games every few matches) then killers shouldn't be able to dodge me just because I'm holding a (broken) key.
Sometimes when I'm playing SWF, we'd ready up slowly in order for killers not to feel threatened by readying up too quickly and leave lobby. Lol.
